I store my glocks cocked (trigger forward like pic related)

I had the slide locked back and I pulled the trigger and it clicked back but it felt weird. Was this stupid? Did I damage my gun?

Trump's not that stupid, is he?

Because if we start bombing Iran, then its not long until its ground troops. Then it would be the US fighting a ground war against a Russia supplied iran.

That could lead to war with Russia, and then of coarse China will finance Russia, which in turn can bring the US into military conflict with China.

And then, ahh shit. WW3.

Anything can happen but an actual military offensive against Iran would at the very least require a catalyst or major provocation.

Most likely this would take the form of a major violation of the recent nuclear deal or something along those lines. The situation would probably have to be fucked up enough for Russia to be on the US side of that fight.

Israel, India, Pakistan, and the Saudis by proxy (they funded Pakistan's program) are all nuclear actors. The thing is as much as Iran hates the Saudis/Sunnis they would probably target Tel Aviv first, and at the very least use the threat as a major bargaining chip.

That's Iran might think anyway, but the thought of any kind of nuclear confrontation would mobilize the world's armies very fast and would lead to either Iran capitulating (unlikely if they've gone that far already), complete and utter isolation followed by a massive force build up on Iran's border, or full on invasion and war

A question worth asking is how far Iran's leaders are actually willing to take things, and how much the citizens and army are willing to put up with. Iranian citizens are basically treated like children, and their parliament is really just a facade given the Guardian Council holds final say on literally everything and anything. You're talking almost 80 million citizens and possibly a little over half a million armed forces members. There is already a strong underground culture in Iran devoted to flaunting their laws, but the average citizen probably does nothing besides eat and pray 5 times a day. However the threat of basic goods/necessities being cut off along with a possible invasion and wide scale civilian casualties might push the people towards revolt but it's impossible to say

You have to remember we're talking about a part of the world where some places have basic sanitation issues because no one can be asked to dig a deeper hole in the ground. How acceptable martyrdom might be is also worth taking into consideration.

Are there any reasons to choose a verpr like pic related over a standard looking AK or vise versa?

Do they have the "it's designed to shoot this round so other caliber may not perform as well" problem?

Classicfirearms seem to have them for about $700.
Not knowing much about the AK market I am a bit worried since it's about the same price as all those other AKs that get shit on by /k/ like the RAS47, C39, and IO.
>>
>>32172984

Veprs legit Russian AK's. They have reinforced receivers similar to the RPK receiver. They also have heavy barrels which greatly improves accuracy. They also have chrome plated bores. Vepr's are one of the highest quality AK's you can buy these days. They are also easily convertible to a standard AK look.

I thought c39 v2s were good though?

Why didnt they tie the goats to a tree then take the farmers with them then wait for evac?

Are all SEALS this dumb?

The funniest thing is that the farmers didn't compromise them

Tali knew they were there from the helo insertion

I'm a big guy, so I can conceal the L. No issues with FTF/FTEs? I hear they had issues with that?
And what's the aftermarket like?

given the general staff bullpen consists entirely of idiots, this guy slapping lipstick on the pig and running away makes him look like a genius

>And isn't he still on probation?

laws don't apply to connected people
>>
>>32171529

The insurgency was killed, then un-killed by the retard al-maliki.

He had already retired by the time he got to be CIA director, so he didn't break the UCMJ, and his leak got counted a misdemeanor instead of having criminal charges pressed.

We might never know how good Petraeus would be in a pitched battle, but he was extremely good at selling ideas to the civilian leadership and getting those ideas funded and supported.

What would be a good gun that has the simplicity and mud-and-muck reliability of the AK series, but chambers a 5.56 NATO round (not just a .223)?

Pic mostly unrelated.
26 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>32169872

Galil or Sako in 5.56. Is literally a 5.56 AK.

>not just a .223
Protip, anything imported that says .223 is probably built for 5.56, but stamped .223 because of restrictions on military rounds. Since .223 is a civilian round, they can make and sell guns for it more easily a lot of places.

I am interested in joining the Canadian army and my end goal is either JTF2 operative or a pilot. I am just wondering if I have what it takes to become one. Here's an overview of me

>23y/o firefighter
>5'9 / 160lbs
>can reach lvl 13 shuttle test
>can do 40 pull ups/80 push ups/ bench 195lbsx5
>various EMT certifications
>scuba diving and climbing liscenses
>no problem with authority
>flatfooted

I plan on joining the reserve to see if I fit in and then after 2 years I'll apply for special forces

Well, You have to go through reg force first.
I'm not entirely sure how to do it since i'm CG not CF. But i'm preeeetty sure they won't take you. Reasons unknown.
>>
>>32169635

I'd say it'll be terribly difficult but if you're not bullshitting your qualifications you absolutely have a chance.
>>
>>32169635
>>flatfooted
you're gonna get rekt.
Not even Canadian, but JTF2 has a pretty good rep as far as I know and that means hundreds of miles of marching.
Try pilot instead. it's not tip of the spear stuff and not as cool as it used to be since most vidya is now about SOF and not figher jocks, but chance of a burnout is lower, you get to fly a jet and you'll be allowed to talk about your work.
Going SOF is not about being cool, you go SOF to serve. You go SOF despite of all the disadvantages. When you're SOF, that's it, everything in your life revolves around your calling.

Why do they never get more creative. Like what I would do is I would go out to a range where when the round hits the target it is at terminal velocity and then that way the isis guys can train and also eliminate hostages.
