I'm looking to pick up a 10 memememer pistol for use as a gun to wear on my hip when out innamountains. My current innamountains sidearm is an old S&W Model 13-2, and the thought of having 15 rounds of hot 10mm compared to my current 6 of .357 is a clear advantage to me.
Thing is though, I'm not sure if I want to go for a Glock 20 or Glock 40. I've owned a Glock 17 in the past and I know the Glock 20 is more or less the same size with a little more meat while the Glock 40 is the longslide version with MOS features (that I'll never use). I'm just not sure if its worth the extra ~$200 for the increase in barrel length for the Glock 40 over the 20.
Does anyone have experience with either or both?

Since you won't be cc'ing it, why not have the longer sight radius? Also, the longer barrel might (maybe) increase projectile velocity, which would be (imho) ideal for your philosophy of use.

Both are 50 yard deer/hog certified from a rifle; about 25 from a pistol
You can reload both to .44 Magnum levels from a modern firearm, so you have a 100 yard deer/hog rifle or about 50 for a pistol
