Tell me aviation the CETME L. I've really been looking into one, I can get a full parts kit with receiver blank and barrel, plus a bending jig for around $925 before shipping.
I've been really wanting a 5.56 rifle, and the CETME had really interested me in particular, alongside the more traditional "practical" choices like the AR-15 and the Galil.
How hard are they to build? Are they actually good guns? Can I paint up my blank receiver to be the right color as an original CETME easily?

Do you know how to weld, or have a tig welder?
If so are your skills any good?
I've dabbled with the hk91 but if you've never built anything that requires cylindrical welds or welds in general this probably isn't something you want to take on.

Honestly I've never built any guns before. I didn't realize this needed welding, I thought you just bent the receiver to the right shape and bolted it all together.
My uncle can weld. Maybe I can get him to help me, he used to work in a motorcycle repair shop.

Regardless of how common the round is, what is the best round that I can re-chamber a 9mm in without losing significant capacity? (Like if it goes from 19 to 17 I wouldn't be too peeved, but if it was like 20 down to 14 there'd be an issue). I don't care if it's a wildcat I just wanna see what options I've got. Is it a possibility to actually improve energy on target per magazine?
