Hey friends, I'm very happy with my hi power for carry but am now in the market for a home defense pistol.
Must have these traits:
>9mm
>Rail
>13+ capacity
>hammer fired
Weight, size and cost are of little concern. I don't like training with two different trigger pulls, should I just cock a da/sa before engaging threat/ target? Or limit myself to guns that can be kept c&l'd?
Thanks for your help!

So far I have been heavily considering a P30LS, but I don't like the mag release and don't find it very attractive.
are there any reliable modern pistols akin to the Calico M-110/Liberty? I want a handgun I can spray a hundred rounds out of

pistol AR's and probably a pistol AK.
>>32788433
Capacity wise I can only think of the belt fed AR 9mm upper
>>32788460
i don't want a fat ass double drum mag, the calico did it best
I recently inherited three guns. A Colt .32 Police Positive, a Winchester Model 70-458, and a Remington 1100. These guns haven't been fired for 15+ years. I would like to find a gunsmith to give them a look to make sure everything is OK with them before I go out and shoot them.
Does anyone have recommendations for finding a competent gunsmith? I asked some co-workers who hunt and they didn't have recommendations. I live in the Twin Cities area if anyone lives there and can give a recommendation.

Google. Seriously, save your money. As long as the Remington and Winchester bolts close on a round and work without issue you're golden. This is also a good way to learn how to field strip your gun. As for the revolver check the teeth on the cylinder for wear and then looseness when closed. If there is any wobble then you'll need to worry about it. But if they don't look marred at all you're set.

The 1100 is fucking easy as hell to work on. Order a new o-ring and it will work fine if it has any issues. I inherited my grandfathers 1100 that sat for a while. Oiled it up a little and it runs like a champ.

I've taken the guns apart and put them back together. Everything seemed fine to me, but I'd still feel more comfortable if a pro took a look.
Cost isn't a big issue.
Pic related: It's my new guns.
I didn't see one but didn't want to start a thread purely for my own question.
I'm in the market for a lever hunting gun, but due to Ohio gun laws it HAS to be straightwall. I don't want .45-70 or any caliber that I can't get relatively easily (ie., it's common).
So that limits me to .357 and .44 mag.
I have a .357 mag revolver, and would be interested in reloading for it since I hear it is pretty cheap to just get a small $30 loading kit and do it by hand (I have spare time).
HOWEVER, I hear .44 mag is probably better for deer. At the same time, I hear .357 when loaded hot is about .30-30 in terms of killing power, and no one has ever complained about .30-30 being unable to kill deer. Since I'd like to have my gf and other friends have fun shooting a lever action, I'd prefer one without too stout recoil. I'd be looking for a 16"-18 barrel.
If anyone has shot a .44 mag lever action, how was the recoil? Can you compare it to any particular caliber? 20 Gauge? .30-30?
Has anyone hunted with either? Pic unrelated.
Is there a better place to buy AK optics from other than Kalinka?
The locking block pin fell out of my p38 and wont stay put. how the fuckshit do I fix it? help me /k/.

Learn to catalog.
Just picked up one of these in .22, will this be good for shooting rats? What do I have to do to the open sights so they'll work at night?
Should be good for close range pesting. Use lightweight wadcutter pellets if you want to minimize property damage. I'd put a shitty $20 Chinese red dot on it and call it a day.

I want one of these in 300 win mag.
>>32787894
They're excellent for that. Get some scope intermounts and put on a dot sight, or mod it with a longer barrel. You can customize these like crazy.
Get out those family photos, friends
>probably gonna sell the shield and lcp and get a p938

Why did you ever admit to them that you voted for Trump? What could ever have convinced you to be so stupid as to believe them when they claimed they were open-minded and non-judgemental?
Will this have an effect on importations of new firearms, and or the NFA as we know it? pls keep the Talk non-political so we can actually talk about this and not get the thread shut down and sent to /pol/

I would like the fags who said Trump would be worse for guns than Hillary and would ban everything to explain themselves now.
>>32786171
dude, what the fuck did I say, keep it about guns and not politics, if the mods see it get political they will shut the thread down
>>32786171
Gun control, AWBs, etc, are political by nature, it can't be helped. And there's speculation in another thread that Trump is going to unilaterally lift Russian sanctions.

Why do Iran's cutting-edge MBT's always have to be dragged around by trucks?
>>32863567
All tanks are dragged around by other vehicles when possible. It's much cheaper and reduces the amount of maintenance needed.
>>32863567
Because they have terrible gas mileage and would be burning jet-level amounts of fuel if they moved the entire way on their own power.

To rile up what's left of the diehard revolutionaries that think they actually stand a chance against Iran's adversaries.
