What's the consensus on DSA FALs? I'm thinking of picking one up

what's the proper reaction to a FTF malfunction with a DA/SA pistol? obviously with a striker gun you should just run the slide, and this is how you should train, but if you have DA, is it preferable to pull the trigger again before running the slide, in case it was a light strike? it would allow you to fire the round instead of wasting it, but is it a waste of time when you should just start with running the slide in the first place?

I just bought some 9mm snapcaps for training, but it just hit me I'm not sure what the actual best practice is with a DA gun.

They made stripped lowers no longer rifles, but "other". To buy an item from an FFL you must be 21, unless it is a "long gun", where you only have to be 18. Thus, you now have to be 21 to buy a stripped lower, because it can be turned into a pistol. If the lower has been used as a rifle before, or is partly assembled, then it can be sold as a rifle.
I did not think "other" kept out of state buyers from buying them. Out of state buyers I THOUGHT were kept from handguns, but it could the same same scenario... out of state is only able to buy "long gun"s, therefore no more stripped lower for you.

Its always been like that.
Lowers are transferred generally as firearms, which are not allowed for out of state buyers. Only Shotguns or Rifles are allowed.
