Give me your top opnion on this top break mmm/k/?
Amigoes?
Looks like shit but it'll probably fire and not blow up on you, congrats.
>>32807899
Check the state of the barrel and the moving parts inside of it, if it's not all rusted to shit it should be alright, even though top-breaks are rather fragile by design.
So I went t try out 2 .357 magnums today (686 and Ruger sp101). I can't even shoot a Ruger target .22 pistol well because I have tiny holocosto arms. That 101 was the most fun I had shooting a handgun, but of course I didn't hit anything. I wasn't too good with the 686 either. I can post my targets if you want.
What are some exercises that I can do to help my arms keep stable and not shake while shooting?
>>32807335
try >>/fit/
>>32807335
Go get a pistol. Quite heavy but not TOO heavy. Maybe a small .45 or a .40.
Keep it with one arm pointed. Hold it still for as long as you can.
Same bullshit than the military with the pencil. This will actually slightly help with the muscle fiber to get used to that kind of shit. Otherwise, spend more time and get fit to be better overall.
>>32807335
At the very least, do push ups. /fit/ would argue that they are chest exercises, which they are, but my holocaust arms get tired and sore after doing my limit of pushups, so they must be getting a workout in addition to my chest.
What is /k/'s opinion of nickel-finish guns?
Aesthetic, durable finish or drug-dealer tier?
>>32807259
I've got a nickel 1911.
Fingerprints for days and it's starting to bubble on the back of the grip.
>>32807259
SS is better. Don't use copper solvents (ammonium based, like Hoppe's #9) to clean it. The nickel adheres to a copper layer, so if there any cracks your finish will flake off.
Post truck guns

I want a .22lr bolt gun and I have been looking pretty hard at pic related. I already have a 10/22 so mag compatibility will be nice.
Anyone have any experience with these?
>>32806528
great little plinkers and its nice not to need another type of magazine. my savage mark 2 has been sitting in the closet since i picked this up. people also go on and on about the CZ but i've shot one still might be worth a look tho.
on annoying thing tho is bx-25's will always jam around round 12 or so.
>>32806621
I've heard some people say they have no problems with the BX mags and others say they often jam. I wonder if it is the ammo or what.
>>32807880
Not sure, I've used just about all the sub 22 stuff I can find, bulk rem, federal and CCI. Maybe they fixed something? IDK, it doesnt really bother me as I prefer the flat rotary mags to begin with.
I'll start:
>Run to Cabela's one morning a few weeks ago for some reloading components and bulk 12 gauge target loads that were on sale
>Decide to drop by the gun library section expecting the usual fare of overpriced used guns
>Notice a HUGE section of pistols and revolvers that were just set up
>Shoot the shit with the clerk, he tells me that an older gentlemen just sold a large portion of his collection for different guns, says there are some really good examples in there
>Look around, see a like-new, in box S&W Model 42 .38 snub
>$380 + 10% used gun discount
>Take a look at it, but I pretty much know that I'm getting it at this point
>Older gentlemen who looks almost exactly like mid-90s Bill Clinton walks up and puts his hand on the box
>"Son, that antique probably won't serve ya too well, this one looks more up to your speed" as he points at a beat up glock trade-in
>He's obviously trying to get it out from under me
>Clerk gives me the pic related look
>Feign hesitation, and Bill flashes a car-dealer smile
>Tell the clerk, "Actually sir, I've changed my mind... I'm done looking and I would like to buy this one right away"
>Bill looks like I just ran over his dog
>Go up to the front desk and fill out my paperwork, feeling pretty damn excited over the deal I just got
>As I'm about to leave, I turn around and notice Mr. Clinton in line, holding 5 bricks of .22lr
>He gives me the old 'piercing-laser eyes'
>Give him a quick smile and walk out
What a wonderful morning!
I wish I hadn't actually heard this.
>be at dicks sports
>looking at semi-auto shotties.
>overhear female clerk reccomend a mossberg 500 mariner w/ pistolgrip saying he could just point it around a corner and shoot a badguy without aiming.
Thankfully academy sports and palmetto state arm. have all but allmost put them out of business.
When I was a kid, I shouldered my shotgun with my finger in the trigger guard while shooting a round of trap. Put the prettiest pattern you ever saw right on the side of the freshly painted trap house, dead center.
>>32805709
Good story. You should write professionally.
Looking to buy a shotgun and the local gun shop just got pic related in stock. It's around $750 and it's the only one in stock. What are the pros/cons of this shotgun?
>>32805673
Cons: Cheap junk
Pros: It looks scary
>>32805673
I would get a DP-12 first.
I had one, shot it a bunch, sold it. I simply had no practical use for it at the time and I made money selling it at a higher price. I told myself I would buy one again if they made a really long version that hold a shit ton of shells and could be suppressed and LOW AND BEHOLD! Get the KSG-25 and you will keep it and pass it down to your children...
I'm inna woods looking at /k/ when I should be looking for deer. My ass hurts. I'm thirsty.
Should have brought a camel back nigger
Still no sightings. Confidence remains high.

Anon, i dont really know how to tell you this, but the difference between having an aircraft with one engine or two engines is huge, the differences between both airframes equal two different aircraft.

If the weight distribution is a bit off your airplanet wont fly, it will burry its nose in the dirt. Having 2 engines instead of one changes the weight distribution quite a bit.
