I m a big fan from his artwork anyone here that like his style as well ?
>>2660219
yeah he's cool, specially his loli gore and scat porns.
I love his style and heavily influence my style.I didnt know he made gore.
>>2660228
everyday its the same bullshit with you
So I wanted to ask, how do I approach foto study like wawa does? He seems to nail the EXACT proportions so precise, that he doesnt even flip his screen. How does one can do that? I feel like at least second monitor is necessary for such studies. Do I measure shit with my tablet pen like I would do in real life portrait drawing?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl6suix32Q8
it's easy if you practice comparative measuring.
and value/shape abstraction.
every observable shape can be used as a 'ruler' to measure the distance between other shapes.
for example,
>the length of the triangle cast shadow on the bottom right of her nose is equal to the width of her nose
>the triangle shadow shape on the right of her jaw is roughly equal to the cast shadow triangle on her neck
if you practice making these observations, you'll always have obscenely accurate observational paintings forever.
the line drawing in the beginning is the hardest and longest part using this technique.
you don't learn anything using this process but you get a pretty looking picture every time.
>>2659770
>you don't learn anything using this process
but you do
>>2659799
not with a photo, You do only if you're doing a live drawing.
I love drawing feet and toes from photos I find here but how can I legally monetize this? I don't know the original sources for the photos I find nor do I know of the models in them. I just use them for my art. Last time I posted my work I was told to credit the models in the description but I don't have such information.
Examples of my work will follow. I don't have side by side comparisons but I can post those if need be.

Yes, you're going to burn in hell.
>>2659679
>If it is then what if you buy it later after using it?
Let's be honest here, you're not going to buy it anyways.
>>2659688
That's true for me with moves, music and video games because I don't actually give a shit about any of it, I just pirate it because I can and it's easy, but I'm paying for NMA precisely because I couldn't get it for free.
fuck im retarded put it all in subject, woops

It's time for a bit of introspection, /ic/.
Take this list of fundamental skills and order them from your weakest to your strongest.
1. Gesture
2. Perspective
3. Composition
4. Proportion & Placement
5. Anatomy
6. Colour Theory
7. Form & Construction
8. Values
Hard mode: Practice your weakest fundamental and post the results.
1.no loli/shota
2.no furry
3.no fanart
the only three fundies you need
>>2654798
>tfw can only kind of draw animals so that's the only fundamental skill you've got
>>2654798
You forgot one of the most basics: no fun allowed. That means no dragons and space marines.
Last thread: >>2650563
This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

How come the Anime thread in /ic/ is always the most hostile? People in the normal threads are typically more helpful/constructive. That last thread was a fucking disaster.

Is anyone here studying arts related degree in an european university? If so, where, and at what university?
>>2652863
Bumping. Is there an art school in Europe that follows the FZD model (fundamentals, courses, advanced theory..) rather than the contemporary subjective bullshit model?
I have to choose one within a few months and I'd very much like to avoid ruining my life.
>>2653601
There are several such universities in Poland, they require to pass few exams first (drawing human figure, painting still life and then a field of studies exam, so e.g. a storyboard for animation or a design, most of these on a 100x70cm format)
some of them are also equiped with modern technology, such as Dragonframe, mo-cap and such.
You have a lot of drawing there, anatomy, hired models, exploring certain topics (lighting in animation for example), history of arts, developing your own style, working in various mediums/materials, some philosophy and psychophysiology of vision.
I'm not a student there, but in Poznań/Poznan/Posen there is a certain academy of arts, that I'm basing this post on, so based on their students works I'd encourage you to check it - http://bkip.uap.edu.pl/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/D_12-prezentacja.pdf - a lot of it is contemporary (which is not really forced by teachers, you may pursue any idea of art you have and receive help/critiques/knowledge, as far as I know), but you may find something that suits you. And unlike USA, you are not charged for studying.

Nobody cares, kurwa.
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VfDTpLLVl5bWUGWguswKpPFml533luI8-NBd1EGYHnA/edit
>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

how do I make a short animated film?
how do I get into basic good cynematography?
>>2659576
Your answer is to vage in the terms that what you just asked takes volumes of information.
Read book and take curses about the subject, google and youtube are your friends.
But if you want a hand on where you could start:
>Read the sticky (both links)
>Look the animation thread (also the archived ones)
>Watch feng zhu design cinema (specifically the podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVwrjbSV29c&list=PLWk2oes70qC2Z7tii5R8JUdI7cdXDEZKC ) and extracredtis. they don't talk about animation specifically, extracredits is not even about illustration, but they'll help you to understand the industry and helpful stuff related to work and project management.
