Any tips genius ?
wacom problem
intous cuts out while drawing on the pen.... does anyone else have this problem with their tablet/pen?
I'm only asking here because most of ic draws digital, and either has a intous.
Can we make this a "getting used to tablets for the first time" general?
I just got an Intuos myself, and I'm learning how to get used to it.
I'm just trying to get a feel for things, and boy is it weird. I'm trying to draw with it, but everything just feels wobbly. I've gone to forums, and everyone is saying to just do all computer functions using only the tablet just to get used to it. Is this good advice?
>>2682842
try drawing figure 8 for a few minutes using your arm and try get comfy and its best for me to draw with the tablet same height as the belly button. having it at chest area feels weird to me but that's just personal preferences
>>2682842
It is, but it's also because you have bad eye coordination. This is much more noticeable on digital than it is on traditional for some reason, probably because you have more "control" in a sense with traditional over digital which kind of makes a simulation of the real world.
Everything likely feels wobbly because you're just not used to drawing. On paper, usually you draw it with the paper turned at an angle. On digital, the tablet is probably not angled and as a result your arm is drawing in a completely different manner and using completely different muscles and will cause your lines to seem wobbly even if they seem in control at another angle.
A good resource for this is Drawabox's lesson 1. You have to draw many many lines in many different directions until you can get them how you want and that's how you'll improve your arm to be used at any angle. Unfortunately you might have to revert back to traditional. It's up to you though.
Lets start with an easy one. I'll post the black and white of pic related next. Good luck.
yours should come out as good as this one i did not too long ago.

Congrats, you know nothing about color or anatomy/.
you need to learn how to separate the darks, midtones, and highlights in order to get the proper color saturation and hues. As well, you need to learn the various hues in different parts of the face. Just going at it with a fucking color layer looks like shit.
you're welcome

Why would I even want to have this cheesy shitty animu look in my artworks?

Why do people make "manga tutorials" like this?
>arbitrarily increase the size of part of the head due to weak construction method
>pin the tail on the donkey style of placing facial features
>eyes go here because they just do
This shit makes me so mad because I wasted years of my early youth believing in this shit when I could have been studying loomis, etc. Even today people push this "draw a animu faec reel ez w 3 simple steps :)".
>>2682793
>Even today people push this "draw a animu faec reel ez w 3 simple steps :)".
I have never once seen one of these recommended or pushed.
I think DA mentions that making tutorials is a good way of getting yourself noticed.
But in reality, many artists, almost all artists do it. Like Kronz, Sakimichan, Illya, they all just know the fundamentals, but beginners who want to be able to do the same level of art, have no idea how to get there, so these pro artists post a "tutorial" which is really just a vague ass progression that doesn't mention all the fundamentals that go into it.
It does help sometimes, since people want to know your process, but if you ignore them, it's not like it hurts you either. So there's no problem with them.
>>2682793
I don't know, I think it helped me
Could anyone provide the basis for drawing this? I'm stumped
Get a compass, a ruler, and some patience.
>>2682554
aren't those crutches?
>>2682555
That's not what you asked for. Those are the basis for doing this.
No joke thread here, for those few of us here that are male and draw NSFW. How do you fight the urge to stop drawing and "give yourself a break"?
>>2679894
Just do a preemptive strike, if you know what I mean
>give yourself a break
You're on 4chan, OP. Cut the shit and say what you mean.
Not a male, but if I'm home, I just don't fight it and give myself a break.
Has anyone here actually improved by using this book?
no...because of this I seem to have developed the obsession with making the legs way longer than they should be.
8 heads figure size indeed!

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint
