This. You can draw with your mind, but can you draw with your hand? No. It's like trying to play basketball without coordination.

I don't think you can draw with your mind anon, I bet the problem is more in your mind than in your hand. I bet when you try to imagine a robot you have some vague heuristic like "made of metal and electronic things" And you don't even really know about looking at objects and the way you see them, let alone the form of a robot.
So you can see a robot and say "Yes I would call this thing a robot" but you can't make a robot. You can't even make an image that would fool other people into thinking of a robot.
You need to draw more, but you also need to research and think more if you want to draw interesting things from your mind.

The design is rather boring and bland. I feel you could spend more time thinking about your character, doing thumbnails, doing research, gathering reference etc.

How much did you think about who this character is and what world they live in? What things did you look at before working on this? Things like the thigh guards are really bland design, they are just a rectangle of metal with a cord through holes in the corners. Could you have come up with a more interesting shape or material? What about a more interesting way of suspending it or attaching it to the leg? Some parts of the design are sort of nonsensical too like the bone loin cloth that isn't really covering anything and is just floating.

There's also some small drawing errors like the shoulders being misaligned and different sizes, but mostly I think your issue is with the design itself. It doesn't feel thought out and cohesive and the shapes and materials could be more interesting.

Realized I didn't answer this. If you fix this one up and do a whole series of them you might be able to get a job here or there if you push, but you probably won't be able to find a ton of work and it won't be very high paying.

All Ive been learning so far is anatomy and a little bit of perspective.

stuff like rule of thirds. using the environment to guide the eye along the image to the focal points. lighting also affects composition. want to pull the viewers eyes from a dark area of little interest? light up the subject etc.
