Nice photobashing skills.
>>2840242
I didn't use any photos
Does learning art history make you a better artist? What are some good documentaries or books on art history?
Just go to wiki art and take a stroll
>>2837441
Learned about 20th century art
Didn't become better
Not one bit
>>2837526
oh, thank you anon
Are your imaginations so godamn playful that you can't even watch horror movies without fucking yourself up?
No, I find them a lot of fun. Although, I did have a few mental breakdowns in past years and I couldn't wake horror movies without it getting worse.
Sorry anon, I don't speak engrish. Are you asking if I have a vivid imagination to the point of being able to scare myself? If so yes. My visualization ability is so strong that I can get scared of imaginary sharks in a public swimming pool. I can turn it on or off though, most of the time. I can't deal with swimming in the ocean though unless I'm close to the beach
>>2837300
Yes
Imagination aside I am a huge 'coward'
Sup /ic/ i need your help, let me explain
>did this small animated gif in photoshop, animation is 5 frames with small movement in the arm and repeated 2 more times to change the muzzle flash, someone is asking for a similar commission, how much money should i ask for?
What do you think your time making it is worth? then go a bit higher than that.
>>2835367
300£/day.
Do you have an artist nickname or something you wish you could be recognized once you make it?
Do you think an artist should have a signature name or is it just pretention?
Yes, mostly because I'm a pretty private person and felt weird publishing my art under my own name (especially when I was starting and embarrassingly bad).
Yes. All sorts of professions put their name on their work. It both gives you credit and helps others identify what work is yours and, if your name is legible, how to find more.
>>2833473
what name do you use as an artist?
>>2833469
I'm watch paint dry on youtube and facebook and @watchpaintdrytv on twitter. Gearing up my channel currently.

Why is he never mentioned on this board? He's basically the Norwegian Kim Jung Gi.
Post only the best drawings by him!
so where do i actually post my work? facebook obviously sucks, twitter and instagram do for the same reasons, not to mention this idiot-infested place right here, present company excluded obviously.
there's no conceptart.org anymore. like a place where you get proper critiques instead of likes and shares. wat do? help pls
You want proper critique? Send your work to studios, bug good artists, do whatever it takes to get into contact with people who care.
>>2839991
>Send your work to studios
Does that still work? I thought most successful studios these days get so many portfolios sent to them that they don't have the time to ever get back at the artist anymore other than an automated decline letter.
>>2840004
If they don't reply, it means you suck pretty bad and need to get working. If they do reply, they'll probably tell you what you need to fix because you've got potential. There's no lost in sending your work to studios anyways.
Recommend me books/videos about drawing heads please. Loomis' one is confusing, because when he goes step by step he changes placement of various stuff. It gets nasty if you follow that and I feel more stupid after reading that crap. Give me something else please.
>please handhold me

Also moebius inspiration posting encouraged
The Humanoids collection is the original colouring as far as I know. Nice big hardbacks too.
The recent Edena Cycle collection Dark Horse put out is absolutely to die for by the way. Can't wait til they print the Arzach stuff
I know 3 fantasy artists that do real epic-looking arts. It's Frank Frazetta, Boris Valjeho and Louis Royo.
What about lesser-known artists that make similar paintings? Is there any list of them? Any big gallery?
