Making a case for my phone, would like some critique before I get it printed
fucking ugly
kys
Anatomy is wonky. What the fuck is up with those legs?

wings don't work that way, there's a joint at the shoulder, then the elbow, then where the wrist is. Not 2 joints by the shoulders. The feet are sooooo small, even if it is a stylistic choice, it's weird. The thing on her face looks like it's sucking her face in, maybe make it bigger (supposed to resemble a beak?).

Sam Hyde is fucking insane

Its a really goood video, a lot of the same things I've thought of. Seen many people who are neither insanely talented with mad technical skillz or wickedly inspired with the brain juices flowing. As well as friends who want to do everything themselves, which I think is most detrimental. I have a friend who, with a straight face, talks about making his own 25 episode full length T.V. series and doing all the art, animation, music and editing himself. And yet he hasn't made the smallest step towards it. Its ultimately going to put you in a rut when you have to bear the entire weight of a project on your own shoulders and realize you are incapable of doing it on your own. I don't know what causes this, maybe arrogance or pride. A piece of work is not any less valuable because the work load was placed onto others, that's what people who make money do.

good wideo.
i canceled the appointment to get a membership card with the local cannabis club as I was listening to this.
Can we please talk about this? This asshole draws child, not even loli he draws straight up children. Most of the time being raped and abused. And he's getting this much?
1. What the fuck? 2. How is he not arrested or banned from Patreon 3. His fans base is disgusting.
Get over it faglord

if you jerk off at all you really don't have a moral high ground over other people and what they jerk off to. I'm sure you've masturbated to worse things than drawings.
wow wtf this is so horrible why isnt he banned yet???
Could I possibly start a somewhat decent youtube channel like Ahmed's, with talks/rants, etc. but without being good at art? Maybe making it about the progress/growth itself or something.
Iunno. Might as well try.

of course you can, but just know that I forsake you.
>>2835682
I can live with that
QUICK!
Post whatever you use for your art.
>>2827867
hey, when did you enter to my bedroom?!
How's been your art lately drawing on a bamboo?
>>2827867
I use that exact same piece of shit, cheap af
I use a medium one by wacom.
It was a gift and it has a larger surface to draw on, but overall I prefer my old bamboo.
I should buy an intuos someday.
Why are some people using a 3D underlay? Wouldn't it be easier and less time consuming to actually draw that train?
>>2839036
>Easier and less time consuming having to think about the perspective, structure, form and detail of that train.
Ok. You can do that when you don't have a fucking deadline.
he probably didn't make that train model himself and just applied some simple breaks and posed it

Does anyone have a link to that one 'git gud in a year' course thing? I think it started off advising you to draw cars and shit, and ended with a few pointers towards how to make good characters?
TIA.

have fun.
A friend of mine had to drop out of animation because of wrist-related problems. I do my stretches before drawing and wait 1 hour after drawing before I can get my hands wet. Anything else besides;
-do your stretches
-dont get your hand wet if you've been drawing for a long time
>>2839169
Use as much of your arm as you can, also helps precision
>>2839169
Thankfully I haven't had any problems in regards to wrist injuries. I've noticed I get sore everytime I fap though, and I'd like to reduce the damage in the long run somehow
>>2839169
What's with getting your hands wet? Is this a meme?
Why do you always see "the greats" doing things that professionals say you should never do? Look at this Frazetta sketch, he breaks every rule when he starts lazily doodling the feet.
What do professionals say you should never do?
You mean to newbies who want to be professionals?
Frazetta is already renowned, so it doesn't matter what he does. We know he's good.
something something know the rules break the rules something something

Every ass hole cunt who thinks they are some genius by scribbling, with shit that they shat on to shit like a peice of shit. Are why u hate alot of (not all) contemporary art galleries and even my college.... fuck! I'm so pissed I feel like an edgelord spurging spaghetti out my gangly dick!
Hey /ic/ a few months back my dominant hand got torn off due to a horrible accident. Now i'm trying to learn how to draw with my non dominant hand but I feel it's almost pointless. I mean it was already hard enough learning with my dominant hand, should I just give up, is there any hope for me?
Aye, sorry that happened to you. I you are still serious of passionate about art, I'd say continue to practice and draw with your other hand and you improve with it eventually.
>>2835746
*If
*you'll
>>2835734
You're gonna end up having to use your non-dominant hand for everything from now on anyway.
I think drawing would be a good way to train your dexterity for things other than drawing too.
If I am reading a hentai doujin, what is the possibility of that comic to be completely drawn with just a tablet?
Do veteran artists use tablets at all or do they just use traditional methods?
I can barely draw a straight line with a tablet and feel bad when I see incredibly good looking art or even decent art where the lines are really smooth, but I guess I just need much more practice(?).
>>2837710
100%
A ton of artists use digital nowadays
It looks so similar to traditional it's almost difficult to tell apart
Veteran artists are generally traditional but newer artists use digital
You just need more practice
Anymore questions?
>>2837710
Is that Inoue Kiyoshirou? He's a GOD TIER, also 100% tablet.
Check out this doujin from Inoue; IMO it's his best: https://exhentai.org/s/6272b5c1f1/133254-1

Yup and Yup and Yup and Yup.
Post an old drawing/character, and then a newer version of the same drawing/character.
>>2828405
Not yours I would hope?
Another one
if this is your drawing i feel like you actually got worse, needs L O O M I S
Protip: you literally can't.
>>2838904
the effect is fully reproducible in paint, the font too if you buy the font pack
>>2838952
That's actually pretty cool.
>mfw I torrent 43 gigabytes of Erik Olsons perspective course and feel excited before remembering im a lazy piece of shit and will probably never do any of the exercises
Link? I'm having some trouble with perspective at the moment
>>2838781
>over 90 hours of perspective videos
>no 3-point perspective
Fucking love the Olson meme.
As someone who did Handprint, Eric Olsen and Scott Robertson's How to Draw all at the same time to learn perspective in depth I can only recommend to work with Scott Robertson's book mainly and supplement with Olsen's videos of things you don't understand well or just need a better and more in depth explanation of. Also read and understand handprint on the side, to fill any gaps of theory and trust me even Scott Robertson and Eric Olson combined have gaps, lots of them.
This way you fix each main flaw of all three of those resources. Scott Robertson expects you to understand shit immediately after his short, often poor explanation, while Eric Olson moves one small step ahead every 2 hours. Handprint is the best theory while Scott Robertson and Eric Olson are the best practial approaches.
Never do Eric Olson alone, you will mainly watch videos instead of drawing. Read Scott Robertson slowly, watch Eric Olson if you don't understand something or need more explanations. Fill theory gaps with a deep study of handprint.
So my main tool for digital art is a big chink cintiq alternative that has no express keys, I don't really miss them but I have little space on my desk for the keyboard when drawing so I want to remap a Genius numpad for hotkeys, what is the best/ easiest program for that? I use Windows 7.
>>2837751
It's not the easiest (if you are a retard) but the best solution is an autohotkey script.
>>2837756
But autohotkey scripts can't tell one keyboard apart form the other, right? That doesn't work for me...
>>2837825
simply disable numlock and you can assign all those keys to the Genius numpad
