What is art?
What is god?
How many is a lot?
the application of technical skill to create and communicate meaning
Should I grind this or I'm getting meme'd?
>>2972427
>falling for the proko meme
LOL
well yeah, you are going to have to simplify the masses of torso and hips if you draw difficult poses and angles
>>2972427
Grind, as in focus specifically on this for some time? No, not really.
But it's a good idea to keep in mind, in some poses you'll find that the best way to describe the relationship between ribcage and pelvis is to draw them as a bean. I like the analogy with two tennis balls in a sock.
Also don't fall for all those shitposters telling you Proko can't draw or that every traditional learning resource is a meme. It's all tools, tools that you may or may not use on your journey.

Are you guys doing this?

Artstation contest for Trojan Horse was a Unicorn.
I can already predict the winner
Its going to be some Asian artist who paints some generic MUH EPIC FANTASY scene with near photorealistic texture and/or photobashing
>>2971873
might give it a go, maybe traditional oils, i'm mixed race, so i can have black people in it, so that might give me an edge
Is conceptart.org really as shitty as people say?
I'd sooner trust them than the people here

Subcompact car pen drawing from imagination
Give feedback please
Interesting rocky method of representation. Needs more foreground and/or background to set the tone.

Thank you anon
Where's your construction lines? It looks flat. Try to 3D it up a bit
If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Hey guys, does anyone have good resources for drawing trees and other plants? anything like books, videos, tutorials..? id appreciate any help a lot. for some reason i find stylizing trees and really building up the structure really difficult..
>>2970257
what style are you going for?
>>2970279
id like to understand how someone who draws and paints realistically approaches drawing trees, so that i can reduce it down a bit to fit into more stylized drawings!
you don't gonna make it

If that is better then I lost my motivation to get better. Guess I'm ngmi now. Thx OP.
needs more sparkly shiny glowing bullshit
Where can people as artist really start to get the money? im not talking about hundreds of dolars, i mean a place to start commissions and really get feedback?
is furry porn an alternative or is the only answer, like suicide
>>2969971
Its just one of many, many niches that can be used to make money. Furry is a degenerate fetish, and they'll pay for anything that legitimizes their desires. But you could also do some R34 with fetishistic twists like feet or ass smothering, femdom, or *ahem* smoli.
Porn always brings money because its so low brow, and pleasing on the primitive level, its a decent place to start making money as long as you have fine drawing skill and iron willpower.
>>2969971
bondage and transformation fetish are just as popular as furry porn
>>2969971
the number 1 thing I get asked to draw all the time
is pencil portraits of people's kids and dogs.
get good at that and you will make some money.
drawing burnout?
I took a semi-long break (a few months) from drawing every day because the pressure I put on myself made me very miserable.
At that time drawing just felt horrible...
Now I want to get back into it, but even though I don't pressure myself anymore, there still is this miserable feeling in me when I'm drawing, like my brain connects misery with drawing.
Could this be permanent?
How do I get out of this?
>>2969876
Fuck a Fleshlight while you draw, and you'll associate the good feeling with drawing after a while. Only downside is that you'll probably just be constantly cumming yourself everytime you draw, even without masturbating.
>>2969880
Does that actually work?? ._.
>>2969880
uhh I might try this one day
