>Leave the pursuit of art to me
i dont know why but this made me kek.
also the persuit of art not the attaining of mastery.
in other words he is going to try and keep trying but never attain
not gonna make it.
>>2979660
he's smart and a tryhard, I think he's going to make it
If I drew like this fucktard, i'll be too ashamed to share my work online much less doing redlines.
Who cares?
>>2978368
True, who cares. Well at least i'm not as bad as my friend akirel here who makes the ugliest looking portraits I've ever seen.
>>2978372
Thanks bb.
analyse the meaning of this picture
or
just guess the story that is behind it
the artist really wants to be a drawer but cant seem to ctually make good drawings, so he just says the reason as to why he draws so bad is because its on purpose because its his "drawing/art syle"
>>2975759
did you ever hear of abstraction?
Since I learned about that and had some trips that made me think about this topic, I decided that I want to make drawings with basic stylistic devices, so that the meaning of it seems clearer , instead of making it so hard to understand that no one can ever understand what you mean. IMO that is failure of art. Everyone should be able to get the meaning and participate on the thoughts of the artist.
But obviously I failed, because when it just seem to be a bad drawing than people dont think about it. They dont participate. That´s actually pretty sad.
So maybe I should rework my ideas or stick to a more realistic way of drawing, because I can make good drawings - atleast I find them pretty ok - to not fullfil your expectation of me....
>>2975803
Proof that all abstract artists are total hacks.
Post your other work if you're just "choosing" to draw like shit.
...be reminded a black guy is better than you
speak for yourself nigga you aint got shit on me
>>2974729
Show and prove
>>2974719
but what if I am
Does anyone have a compiled list of his works, books?
>>2973620
Sorry can't help you there OP. Why did this guy delete all his work online? Also, didn't he recently come back to DA only to delete it again? I could have sworn I saw some of his work in some dudes favorites not too long ago and then it disappeared again.
>>2973633
why did he delete all of his stuff?
>>2973675
he's a published artist, right?
maybe it's contract related stuff
How to draw this?
Look at it and then draw it. Repeat until it looks like it
just trace it, it's not like anyone would notice anyway
>>2979356
1. trace
2. draw cute anime face on top
3. add some chromatic aberration
basics straight outta vlippu
what sites/apps do you post your artwork on?
have you ever had a DM for commissions?
I thought that was an F-117 at first.
>>2979640
>F-117

before anyone asks: yes, these types are reportable
If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>2975780
I am a professional concept artist. Looking for some feedback. More of my artworks here:

Thanks for your time and have a nice day!
Drawing and painting looks ok i guess, but the design is a bit generic and her pose kinda stiff.

delete this if you want to get somewhere my friend. 4chan is bad publicity. And even worse critiques.
It looks like you photocopy your faces, which is alright, but your anatomy and gestures suffer a little. Also your perspective is not that great.
Still better than 99% of /ic though, which is why at your level you don't need to take any advice from this place if you want to get further.
>>2975695
Probably that anon who tries to discredit random artist by pretending to be them.
Well, I really dosen't know how this works, so if this is forbidden here let me know, please.
I'm just desperate.
Never see somebody doing that here, but good luck.
Help the man, internet!
This should be a feature in all brush engines by now.
Why it aint?
>>2975603
>additiveonly.png
first you have to come up with a better name. this one is misleading, What the hell does additive mean? add implies you're adding opacity, but you're not
A better name would be Greater Alpha: when you add the opacity of your brush onto the opacity of the pixels on your canvas, the resultant opacity in the alpha channel is the greater of the two opacity's if any (green), as opposeed to the sum (red), which is the behaviour everyone usually wants.
Krita has this, Clip probably does too, not sure about SAI or PS. I don't find it useful.
Tvpaint calls the option 'drying'
>>2975699
SAI is where I got the image from. I really want it for PS, though. I find it convenient.
I always found it interesting when beginners are easily able to pick apart professional level art and yet oblivious to their own flaws. What is the cause of that? Which leads me to my second point. How do you ever know if you're good?
A year ago, my figures had some really bad proportions and back then it looked totally fine. I checked back on it recently and those horrible proportions were glaringly obvious. Sometimes I wonder what fucked up shit am I making right now that i'm completely oblivious too... not that i'm not seeing any of my mistakes.
>>2977221
>beginners are easily able to pick apart professional level art
[citation needed]
>>2977241
I think he means sometimes people who can't draw can still perceive good vs bad art and technical skill
But its a mix of 2 things.
1. they just don't care. as a beginner its more about you're actually drawing something, and it feels good to finish something. whether or not its pro level doesn't matter because they know they're not at a good level. so they rationalize it as good enough.
2. training your eye is a thing dumbass. someone who doesn't know what to look for won't see anything wrong.
>>2977221
It's hard to see the mistakes you make on your own work when you've been drawing it for hours. That's why it is always recommended to flip the canvas every once in a while.
