This is 47, I thought he looked 47. What do you guys think? Should I add more or 47?
Stop the Servbot experimentation and abuse, please.
I keep seeing this number literally everywhere, I'm fucking scared.
Hello, I made this with 3 words "Mountain" "water" "Bike". Your opinion?

What is the best way to shade musculature properly?
knowing the form and understanding how light interacts with it

I hate process pics and videos where it's not broken into stages.
It's like "just paint something and refine it for a couple hours until you feel like it's finished".
Also - is his upper arm backwards? That's clearly a tricep, isn't it?

Daily reminder that nobody gives a shit if you can draw a perfect box. Learn how to draw something appealing you stupid fucking niggers.
I can't even draw a box though. As a beginner it's hard to know where to start
Edwards- copy the model
Vilppu - never copy the model

>Learn how to draw something appealing
That's exactly what Loomis does you fucking mongoloid. Teach you methods that allow you to draw something appealing. Almost all japanese artists who draw good animu use a slightly adjusted and simplified version of Loomis head construction or something very similar to it.
I mean, it's literally just draw a circle, add a jaw and then draw 2 lines to help you get the facial features aligned properly. Is that really already too much for you so you have to pretend Loomis is somehow overly complicated and unnecessary?
>>2969850
yes, old men with potato cancer lumps for cheeks and chins are exactly what I think of when I hear the word "appealing"
This short took roughly 200+ hours and every 3rd person says it's too fast and I will address it, but is it tho?

I've never seen Intaglio discussed here before, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with it.
I took a semester of it and it was a lot of fun, but a bit exhausting.
>>2970019
It's really cool but like you said, tons of work. The amount of detail you can get is staggering. This is the only finished intaglio piece I've done.
Apologies for file size, I am lazy.
>>2970019
since there are good ways to reproduce a drawing i dont really think there is much advantage of going through the process of engraving. get good at hatching first anyway. if you want varying line width, get a nib pen
Love it and the way it looks, did it in art school for one semester; too bad I don't have the means to do it anymore. Don't have a press.
I remember degreasing the copper plate with soy sauce before rolling the ink on it and printing. It worked like a charm.
Guys I beg.
If someone has 'Introduction to Lineart' by Sakimi-Chan, please share.
I'm desperate.

Are we at the end of art?
Art didn't die when the cavemen died out neither did it die when the Catholics raided everyone.

AI is literally the end of all skill in human civilization.

Now, we're post-art. Art died decades ago.

How do I do broken colors?
>>2970034
Study color theory and use color with purpose.
>>2970034
that painting looks saturated in ps, anyway one method is to mix the color you want to have, then use some of it mixed slightly left and some right of the hue you have. make sure to keep the value the same by mixing in some white where necessary

If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

How do you ground a character, give them a sense of "weight?. I'm getting better at anatomy but I can't come up with a natural looking pose to save my life and I'm pretty much limited to drawing figures floating in space at different angles.
>>2967159
>references
>>2967164
I'm trying to be an animator; I don't have any interest in being a straight up illustrator and rotoscoping looks retarded pretty much always so I have to try and learn to do without references except for the purpose of anatomy and pose study gnomesaiyan
>>2967166
Use references to get ideas about gesture, not rotoscoping.
what u think about that

Automatic drawing and writing, the subconscious, mysticism, and abstract art. What are y'alls thoughts?

I did something like this while on acid not too long ago
Its a strange process, youre very silent, and unplanned, you dont want to make a wrong mark but you have to make marks, and just let it flow
