How do we get it back?

Do what Cubans do. Mesh nets.
With our second amendment rights, of course.
Probably mesh net and p2p.
Hey /g/, I don't use this board much, so I hope this is an acceptable question.
I'm wanting to head into game development, and want to get to it using Unreal Engine 4, the only issue being that my current shitty laptop is outdated, and I need a new setup. I remembered having an old list of parts I intended to buy from years ago, and started chipping down at that, before wondering if that would work either, since it is an old list after all. Can anyone tell me how to work at, or optimize this list for what I want?
>UE4 reqs: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/GettingStarted/RecommendedSpecifications/index.html
>Intended list of parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qbVKVn
So far I've only bought the case and motherboard.
>>55727817
Just buy a fucking desktop computer OP
Or get a 1k mobile workstation
>>55727860
I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to tech requirements, I doubt that a stock desktop would have what I need to run a game engine at an acceptable speed though, right?

What does /g/ think about what this engineer says about the morality of Google's targeted ads?

>what is ctrl C & ctrl v????
WELCOME TO /g/

Fine, you lazy fuck.
>We have to do something to keep the lights on. Google’s infrastructure costs are over $5,000,000,000 a quarter. That’s 5 billion. Also, ad revenue is over 90% of Google’s business. Without ads we’d have to shut down search, YouTube, etc. No new products would come out. And the money we spend on long shots like self-driving cars would disappear.
>Companies have to monetize their products. Subscription services add enough friction that most users would prefer to go elsewhere. Also the transaction costs, bookkeeping and customer support would erode profits quickly. Advertising is a more convenient and less costly way to provide services to users.
> Ad targeting is good for users and businesses. I’d much rather see an ad for an oscilloscope than for tanning cream. There are plenty of users for whom the reverse is true. Back in the early days of the internet users saw whatever ads the content providers secured. (It was further compounded by horrific visuals, marquis, blink tags, etc.) These ads didn’t sell a lot so content providers had to load their sites up with them. Totally obnoxious.
>Targeting increases click-through-rate and advertising revenue. Clearly that’s good for the business, but why is that good for the consumer? Imagine if you had to watch two or three ads after every YouTube video. Without targeting that’s what Google would have to do to maintain revenue.
>From an inside perspective I can say that there seems to be a healthy separation between Google’s various products. We don’t do paid placement in search results. (That’s strictly reserved to the ads world.) We don’t even promote YouTube videos in the results. In fact one of the projects I worked on for video indexing was to improve placement for third-party video providers like Vimeo.
>We want to deliver the best experience to the users. High-quality targeted advertising allows us to do this without sacrificing our core values.
basic argument boils down to:
fewer, more relevant ads > many irrelevant ads
I think it's pretty fair
I use adblocker for the most part anyway, so it doesn't strongly affect me
I'm not big on the whole tracking paranoia, and appreciate the convenience
How would I go about ripping all the banners from 4chan? I tried a batch and that failed.

I seriously debated actually posting this. Seriously, just google it next time.
Should I update to iOS 10 Beta 2, or just stick with Beta 1 until 3 is available to the public?

You should switch to Android and stop being a massive faggot.
>>55727679
I was previously with Android before switching to an iPhone. I didn't really like Android, and while stock iOS isn't any better than Android, I feel that jailbroken iOS is.
So /g/ what's the consensus on the shure iems? Recently replaced my earpods with these, not sure if I'm wearing them right since they seem to stick a little out of my ear. Is it just a meme?
>>55727439
>So /g/ what's the consensus
Why the fuck do people keep starting threads with this shitty formulation? /g/ is not a unified hivemind and does not have, and is not "in on" any sort of consensus on anything. And you weren't in the middle of a conversation with us so don't start with "So". Fuck off.
I have these, I use the rubber not the foam plugs, and mine don't "stick out", I can even lay on my side with them on a pillow or something just fine. But they aren't the most comfortable, my last cheaper earplugs were more comfortable.
Also this >>55728371
Squeeze the foam, then stick in, hold for 5-10 seconds
I hates the rubber tips, got not good sound with them.
I wear my se425 all day at work, they are super comfy on me
