Should i just install windows 10 lol? I woke up today and turned on my pc, and my whole screen was blue saying "sorry to interrupt windows 10 free upgrade ends on july 29th, would you like to upgrade?" Isn't it easier for microsoft to collect data from me with windows 10?
i heard they violate privacy
Upgrade to it, the telemetry tracking stuff can be disabled.

not all of it.
what's the most Pajeet programming thing you've ever see done?
>mfw one Pajeet programmer removed the extra line breaks in my C code so that it would run faster
>>55732179
I first read this as if he removed the break; statements which is something I have (not) seen.
>>55732179
I made an Android app.
>>55732289
Sorry I'm not OP forgot to remove my trip.

Is this a meme?
If so, what are some non-meme alternatives?
>>55732115
any company that removes features that disabled people depend on without making it optional is a meme
BRING BACK BACKSPACE TO GO BACK NOW

firefox doesn't have it either though
OpenUI5 if you want to get real
Is it possible to crack Bloomberg?
I used to use it for work and had a Bloomberg Anywhere login that they turned off when I left.
What the fuck is it?
>>55732126
It's an application that provides live and historical market data and that has built-in chat functionality and other shit. Lots of traders went to jail because of their Bloomberg bantz.
fuk off jews
Hey /g/ Is it worth investing in BTC and ETH?
I have seen prices low and then increase a lot a while later.
I would buy low and sell high, and i'm sure that I can manage to get a little bit of money.
I just set up a coinbase account.
Bump. Looking at prices from a year ago and it was at below 300, now it's at 650, somebody that would have bought a while ago and sold now would have made a lot of dosh.
>>55732084
Etherum is a meme, No one cares about smart contracts.
It was a clever idea but never caught on.
>>55732866
How about BTC?
Is there any point in using this? I was thinking of turning my laptop into a Hackintosh, but mostly just for fun. Is there anything OS X does better than the glorious Windows 10? Or should I just stick to the best, most functional operating system ever conceived?
Linux and other HobbyOS users please stay out of this one. Serious replies only.
>>55732039
OS X is a great OS for productivity. No crashes/errors and it's heavily optimized.
Although if you'll create a hackintosh you'll lose some of the stability of the OS.
Only flamming homosexuals use OS X.
It's macOS now.
Alright /g/, my 780 went and died a while back so now I'm looking for a replacement, I want a card to play high/ultra 1080p@60fps.
What does /g/ suggest?
>>55731994
RX 480 Nitro
>>55731994
GTX 1070
RX 480 or GTX 1060.
If you can go higher or not depends on your budget.
I don't care about programming, I'm not a real programmer. I just copy and paste shit from stack overflow and fill in the gaps with what I know.
I've been writing software this way for the past 8 years.
>>55731905
i feel like i programmed better before google started being productive
I also have another confession.
I have all the books on the programming languagues I like but I never really bother to memorize the different syntaxes, I just consort the books when I need an operator, Sometimes I even forget how to make a for loop but that's probably because of how loops vary from lang to lang.
I just don't see why I should memorize something that I can reference anytime I want.
I don't even care about working in software development it's just a hobby for me. If I had to sit in a chair and stare at someone else's code all day I'd probably end myself.
>>55731905
I'm actually doing the same you do OP. I steal all my code from stackoverflow and write simple scripts i try to sell overpriced, while beeing intimidated by the simplest problems.
Guys what OS should I install?
wwin 7,8 or 10?
>>55731828
Gentoo
Failing that, Ubuntu
>>55731828
Vista
>>55731828
Manjaro
Is this accurate, /g/?
>>55731808
>It's free
That means they're logging everything you do and are collecting your data for advertising purposes.
If you are using public trackers always try to use VPN, since copyright trolls can pick up your real IP.
But not the one in the ad, in fact no VPN that is free is any good or should be trusted.
>>55731845
I have gotten two copyright notices from Comcast already. I'm afraid that they are gonna do something for the third strike and remove my service or some shit.
Have you cleaned your computer lately, /g/?
>>55731716
I'm pretty sure cleaning your pc is a meme. I have had mine collect dust for 6 years now and it's only now starting to die.
>>55731716
I have air filters for my case, so no.
Yes, your a fucking pig.
>>55731752
It's not a meme, your just as dirty as OP.
So now there is Nextcloud and Owncloud which one should I use on my home server? And what is happening with these 2?
>>55731677
Owncloud is done for. Use nextcloud from now on.
>>55731745
>Owncloud is done
Really? What happened between these?
>>55732015
Owncloud lead dev left. Started Nextcloud. Most of owncloud dev team deflected to nextcloud. Investors left owncloud.
Just how paranoid should I be if I'm using this? I've had the app since it was called read it later and only recently started using it, but I'm starting to become a /g/ tinfoil freetard
Why should you be paranoid?
1. You have to register a pocket account
2. You have to login to pocket to make it work
3. You have to instruct pocket to save your webpage.
If you fail to do any of those three steps, pocket isn't going to do anything.
It's already too late
>>55731610
it's botnet
