Hey /g/, I don't use this board much, so I hope this is an acceptable question.
I'm wanting to head into game development, and want to get to it using Unreal Engine 4, the only issue being that my current shitty laptop is outdated, and I need a new setup. I remembered having an old list of parts I intended to buy from years ago, and started chipping down at that, before wondering if that would work either, since it is an old list after all. Can anyone tell me how to work at, or optimize this list for what I want?

So far I've only bought the case and motherboard.

Just buy a fucking desktop computer OP
Or get a 1k mobile workstation

I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to tech requirements, I doubt that a stock desktop would have what I need to run a game engine at an acceptable speed though, right?

Nigga build a fucking desktop
It's just like making a fucking lego house and read the fucking guide

Forgot to add, you can actually buy it but you will have to change shit here and there

Anon that's exactly what I'm doing here. I'm building a desktop faster than my current laptop, which has the specs in that image. The desktop plans I have right now are listed in the bottom link, this entire thread was asking about optimising that build, since it's old.
