Need your wizard wisdom /g/.
Recently bought myself Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive DUO 64GB, main purpose is to collect all my vidya to emulate and play on the tablet during long trips.
One end regular USB the other micro USB for connecting with smartphones, tablets and the likes.
Now, regular USB works ok however when I connect to my android tablet via micro USB, it gets rather hot pretty fast, even if I am not doing anything.
Does android rape USB drives via constant read write or something?
I tried to search for this behaviour but cant find anything.
Another thing this drive has some 5 proof technology which is most likely a marketing BS speech for "hopefully it will work for a while" however, out of curiosity how high temp can pendrive hold for a prolonged period of time without losing all that shit I put on it?
And another thing, someone tried to convince me that if I use pendrive like that (put it in my tablet and play vidya from it for hours) it will die on me after a week. Why?
I was pretty certain that pendrives are pretty durable animals and I can have it plugged in 24/7, listening music from all the time and it wont care a bit. Was i wrong?

Its not that bad, just some "splishy, splashy" and "giggle, giggle"
What can be improved for under 400 dollars?
The single most cost-effective performance upgrade is an SSD for your boot drive.

FHD monitor
cpu is uber shit, take cheap strong amd one.or i5
go 8go ral
take a 480 gpu
should be less than 400$
You have 5 second to explain why these stickers are still on your computer.
Fucking gluey residue would have me scratching my computer like a drug addict
they are the reason i bought my computer

What is goo gone? Fucking moron.
Is this better than gentoo? RMS runs this crap.
I'm going to give it a go.
I thought he used trisquel?
>>56066212
I used gnewsense on my lemote yeelong. its fucking bad, all the repos are very out of date.
trisquel is much more updated and polished.
If you need proprietary firmware.... Prepare to get fucked

I wish I was your mom so I could go back in time and abort you.
Hey /g/ is making a RAID 0 of two SSD drives so my OS/Programs run faster a meme?
>>56065879
Yes. You would be better off using just a single NVMe drive instead. Also RAID 0 on SSD is asking to lose all your data.
>>56065879
Grab an M.2 instead and get 1-2GB/s and no shitty RAID required.
>>56067548
What about a RAID 0+1 setup for Windows Server 2012 R2 for quicker bootups/Remote Session startups?
What should i be upgrading first my graphics card is a AMD R9 290X
Do you have problems with that setup @1080p? If you do it might be processor because 290x should be more than enogh for fhd
>>56065765
Upgrade your CPU.
>>56065765
upgrade to skylake or wait for zen, 290x is more than enough for 1080p.
>tfw you fell for the tiling wm meme
Tiling WM's are good.
If you don't like it, don't use it.
>>56067363
Oh wow, is the thread already over?
Is there a tiling WM that lets you stack if you want? I loved i3, but some of the things I need to do don't go well with tiling so I had to move to openbox.
hey, ive been having an issue with recording on my computer, i keep getting them even though my recording software, my screen size, and the rendering are all set to 1920x1080
https://youtu.be/7RgkvY_bBCY
I made a video about it
It's because you're a fucking cuckold
>>56065542
the black borders are at 0:07 in the video, right? see pic related
You have black borders because your title bar and taskbar are taking up some of your display's vertical space.
i have a 16:9 display. i am watching a 16:9 video, yet it is not fullscreen. see the borders?
any idea why something like this happens?

Currently attempting to get Debian running on my old Ouya. The goal is to use it as a small server, but I've ran into a problem right as I thought the process was done.
Looks like the system can't mount the filesystem. I'm thinking there's an issue in the fstab considering I pulled it straight from the guide which has been a bit off from the start.

Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Noise isolation ≠ Noise cancellation
If you dislike a suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, x sucks"

whats better: MDR-V6s or ATH-M50s?
>>56065333
Discomfort and irritation after a short time--I don't like putting things into my ears. Custom IEMs may solve that but I don't feel like spending that much money on it as a test. Plus there is still the niggling problem of pressurization in the canal and small potential for infection.
>>56065228
I've tried many headphones and I'm not confused about the difference between muffling noise and actively canceling it. My opinion is unchanged about the effectiveness of active noise canceling and passive noise muffling. That said, I'm not a fan of the high pitched hiss I constantly hear with NC headphones. I also sometimes just feel more anxiety with it on for some reason, perhaps because all the environmental noise cues I expect are absent.

>Oh, you wanted to use these adjacent sockets? Heh, not on my watch, kid.
You can't tell me that the laws of physics prohibits manufacturers from making normal-sized plugs.
>>56065456
is that like the only standardised plug type across the entire world?
>>56065456
I can't see how that adapter would cause an issue. In a wall socket you'd still have access to the sticker above or below, and on a power strip the 12v accessory would be sticking out the side. If you've got some retarded power strip where the stickers are side ways that's your own fault.
>>56065607
Sticker=sockets... Thanks voice input
