Most normalfags use smartphones, and it seems that they might have no use for a tablet. Tablets are still a thing. I'm posting this from an Android tablet, and there are tablets that come with Intel Atom CPUs and Windows too (good luck installing GNU/Linux on them, though. They have 32-bit UEFI, so they suck.)

I had the original Phenom. I remember encoding MP3s and decoding DVDs just to stare in amazement at what an improvement it was over my P4. It had virtualization too!

I will stay with Windows 7 until support ends in 2020. By then, GPU passthrough to VMs will be more mature and polished than today, so I'll switch to a stable Linux distro and use a Windows VM to cover the use cases Linux doesn't (mostly Japanese games and old niche software usually tied to physical devices).
