HASKELL THREAD
>>56058708
I want to get into Haskell and start experimenting. What's the best and quickest way to get my environment up and running?
>>56058735
I use Haskell for Mac because I'm an applefaggot and I had 20 dollars to blow on stupid shit.
Otherwise look into using ghci, that's what everyone does. I'm sure there are tutorials on the innanet.
>>56058735
What OS are you running? In my opinion, the easiest course of action would be to install GHC (the Glasgow Haskell Compiler) and then play around in GHCi (GHC interpreter).
Learn You a Haskell is fun and fantastic for your first jump into the language.

/g/, where do you get your music from?
Outside of what.cd, is there any website or software that is great for MP3s that doesn't fucking use YouTube as a source?
soulseek
public torrents
don't get rused into private trackers. waste of time.

Torrents
If I really can't find a torrent anywhere, I sometimes buy it from iTunes if I really really want it.
Can we just start brainstorming all the security issues of Linux Mint?
I've heard they can't code C for shit, and they tend to do a lot of sketchy shit.
Sure, they don't offer kernel updates by default, but I know there's far worse than that.
I'm 100% sure you have never used Mint.
mint is great
regardless of the so called security issues and the slightly more bloat than other distros
mint > win10 any fucking day
>>56058629
Well, you'd be wrong, though I'm not proud of it.
I gave it a shot back in the day. All it seemed to offer over Ubuntu at the time was I guess the Mint menu and it installed codecs + java + flash by default. It enabled them in the browser and everything.
I guess I could add this to the list of bad ideas. There are metasploit exploits that work easily with the latest version of java. You get a pop up and all you have to do is click yes and you're infected. Java is a HORRIBLE thing to run in a browser. You're not supposed to have that much power in a browser plugin. Same goes for flash.
I heard ChrisLAS point out that every instance of Mint uses the same Firefox profile. They put it in the /etc/skel directory. Perhaps that's because they put their ads in Firefox? I don't know, but they used to do that. Key point, I'm pretty sure that profile is supposed to contain some randomized data for security reasons.
Right now I'm just calling all people smarter than me to trash on Linux Mint. I would love to see it.
ios > android > rooted android with tweaks > jailbroken ios with cydia tweaks
>>56058581
in what respect?
Or are you just trolling?
>>56058581
If iOS is so good, why can't I install it on my phone?
>>56058587
holy shit, wrong order
IOS < ANDROID < ROOTED ANDROID < JAILBROKEN IOS

I fell for the Windows 10, 16 GB meme and I still treat my process list like an exclusive invite-only club. Using Vista 64-bit on 4 GB RAM for years changed me, man.
firefox still freezes right
>>56058775
even though /g/ can't stop laughing at it I have no problems with palemoon and I've been using it for a couple years now when firefuck became too fucking annoying with everything.
Emacs so comfy.
Emacs so nice.
Why arent you using emacs, atleast give me a good excuse.
Emacs does it all.
Emacs is free.
>>56058507

I'm not fag
I prefer kate.
It only does text editing, but I personally think it does that better, or at least easier.
Cause I'm a student so I have free access to all of JetBrains products
If I download a Android emulator on my PC and use Snapchat. Will users be able to see me print screen their snaps or snap stories?
>>56058500
No, as long as you aren't retarded and screenshot with the phone you're fine
>>56058505
So print screen and paste to paint will do the trick right? Sorry im not that smart
I usually just record the screen and screenshot later from the video
Serious question coming in:
I need to put a device in a network, which allows me to ssh into it from the outside and tunnel all my traffic through there.
I don't have router and will use wifi for obvious reasons (hiding it somewhere)
Which is the best approach? Hiding a phone or pi somewhere? Or might it be better to gift someone there something with a pi hidden inside.
I have about 30Ah of powerbanks/battery packs that could provide energy for pi/phone
>>56058450
* router access

>>56059159
Maybe technically yes, but I'll do it as unrequested pentesting and inform them about the flaws in their security concept

They randomly rebooted my work PC when I went on lunch to install the anniversary update. We do use group policy. I had work open, and the computer was non functional when I needed to do work stuff.
Microsoft doesn't make nor own that computer, so why do they get the right to say when it does things?
