Hey /g/
I've made a decision my flat (and my TV) needs better sound. The thing is what 5.1 (yes I wanna 5.1 because the movies) should I buy and do NOT spend fuckton of money.
I would def go for 5500 but they are passe since no shop sell then anymore. The z906 (their successor probably sounds good but looks like a $5 shit + I'm not buying there ugly speakers into my room).
So....what to buy? What /g/ uses for 5.1 and can say it's pretty good?

Shame the hardware is shit. I've been using a Mac for the past five years and while the OS is comfy, my processing needs have already long exceeded what this piece of junk can do, but I've hit a bit of a conundrum as Mac Pros are overpriced shit and use ancient hardware, while iMacs are overpriced, throttle and use mobile parts.
Don't want to waste time messing with hackintosh so I'll move to a Wangbang 1000 PC instead, unless Apple decides to make a desktop computer again before then.
