What style should I chose?if (this_variable) {
do.this();
}
orif (this_variable == true) {
do.this();
}
first doesn't use redundant code but the second one looks easier to read. What style do you chose and why?
>>56061982if ( this_variable && true)
>>56061982
I use "== true" on variables, and the first for functions.

Shit in the loo. It's not that hard.
I gave on the standing desk meme. Between the increased varicose veins risk and the fact after months I'm in more pain than ever before. I still use it but only for quickly doing things it's perfect for that.
I was wondering if any of you managed to make it work via a balance board? Just a board with a large bump in the middle so you can sorta shift around while you stand.
Is there any evidence these things help reduce the chance of getting varicose veins? Does the extra movement reduce the pains and strains of standing?
Sitting hurts worse than anything no matter how I sit or which chair I use. Sitting all these years really takes its toll. Laying down eases the pain but makes me feel like I'm dying over long periods and I can't use a regular mouse from this position which limits what I can do. I already exercise all the time and take breaks but it's no solution.

I have written and still maintain some GPL-licensed code in my free time.
The software company I'm working for is in the process of merging with another and I was recently assigned to assist with one of the other company's projects.
Looking through the other company's (proprietary) codebase I have discovered they've been using my GPL-licenced code for years, literally thousands of lines lifted verbatim from my repos, including comments. The licencing and authorship info was removed.
I have informed my supervisor about this on Friday afternoon and there was quite a buzz about it, though mostly to the tune of "let's not make any rash judgements or accusations". Now I'm to have a meet my boss's boss about it on Monday morning.
What should I do? What should I expect?
You should expect the firing your ass.
Have they distributed the code?
