agile is a load of horse shit, I hate it

every project I've ever seen that works by agile has been a load of badly designed, inconsistent, buggy, slow and unstructured shit

Agile is shit
If all you are doing is adding stuff to a website then it's great
It someone suggests it for a complex APPLICATION that will have to be supported for years then it is the road to shit-wank hell.

Meet the Dell OptiPlex GX280.
This is my work PC at a fortune 500 company.
I've been working here since 2005, one year since the release of this PC.
It originally had Windows 2000, then XP, and finally 7.

No parts have been replaced or upgraded.
Opening a fairly sized Excel spreadsheet takes approximately 3 minutes, an image heavy PowerPoint almost 5.
Visual Studio requires me to leave it on during my 40 minute break to finish the component load.

Over the weekend IT is upgrading it to Windows 10.

What should I expect on Monday?

I bet you don't know any of the specs of that computer..
>>
>>56057929
A non-functional PC. It's probably going to crash your shit if you can barely even handle 7.

Why the fuck are you still on a 10 year old system in a "fortune 500 company", and why are they so inept that they are upgrading the OS on it instead of replacing it?

I almost refuse to believe this is true but I've seen bigger companies do stupider shit.

Ok /g/, i'm going to buy my first camera
i'm a poorfag, and I can't decide between the Nikon D3300 and the Canon T6
these are the only two available at the price point. amazon is a no-go (only brick and mortar for me)
Which one should I get?
like I stated before, i'm poor and i can't really bother with buying ridiculous lenses to make
up for the camera's shortcomings.
also, recommend some cheap lenses pls.

Canon has easy menu and a lot of lens and things to choose. Nikon has better chips and new technologies. I have a Canon 1100D but I'd prefer a Nikon now.
>>
>>56057786

the nikon d3300 is the best entry level cam. go on the photo board

Not OP, but I personally like helping a brotha out by seeding all day and running a tor relay, and it's comfy to just turn my screen on in the morning and have my pc up and running. It's a laptop so it doesn't use that much electricity.

After Tay was removed it seems reasonable for users for Ai to be clientsided.
Almost every big company has thier own Ai research and maybe one of them would release open AI with backdoors.
Question is 'Is there opensource tech that can produce Ai or quasi-Ai today?'
All I can think of is char-rnn but don't have much experience in this field

MooTools was better, cpojer works at facebook now while davidwalsh is with Mozilla.
The guy that had lemmings on his webpage was clearly an above average programmer, but I don't know what he's doing now.

jQuery was very simple, even literal homosexual designers were able to "code" in it.

I don't know if I like Angular, react and the like though, I prefer using small libs, like virtual dom when I need them.

There's hope with webassembly IMO

So... then, node is ____?

I sure hope so, that intermediate code can be optimized out the ass, I don't know if you can do that with regular JS

Don't most carriers let you keep your old number from your old carrier these days?
>>
>>56057255
It's true. Capitalism is making most people poor.

But you wouldn't loose access if idiotic app devs would stop using phone numbers as the account.

So far kik is the only app that uses an actual username and password to log in.

There's also chatsecure which lets you do xmpp.
>>
>>56057255
only thing that i use that supports that is gmail and its only for spam mail. and i have had same phone number for ~10 years already..
