Okey, i have a Samsung S7 Edge. That i don't really use since i have no friends.
Should i attempt to "make" my own Pwn phone?
https://www.pwnieexpress.com/build-pwn-phone?__hssc=214639368.14.1473116649790&__hstc=214639368.8f2e1401ca71f7821bf08f4db6167932.1473116649790.1473116649790.1473116649790.1&__hsfp=1648102483&hsCtaTracking=307bb695-27b2-471b-b758-5d68c47bbb97%7C42d4cab7-4966-4338-b63e-df37c537a637
doesn't the rom only work with certain phones?
I work for one of pwnie's suppliers. Their profit margins are gross and they don't actually offer much in terms of value add. Their software is all open source projects done by other people. Their computers run kali linux with a few custom scripts. Don't waste your money.

This was your mistake

Because Microsoft can't into Unicode.
All my new build parts are in the mail and I'm just sitting here waiting.
This will be my first build, how hard is it going to be /g/?
>>56444370
It's very difficult.
Make sure you're properly grounded at all times or you'll fry your parts.
Also, be VERY careful when installing the processor. The slightest wrong move will destroy it and you're screwed.
It's easy if you know what you are doing. Some even find it fun.
>>56444390
I didn't buy one of those wrist strap things. Am I fucked
What's something that's grounded in my house?
I don't know if this is the right place for this... But what is the best wholesale cite that I can get electronics for dirt cheap... I want a decent Bluetooth speaker but I don't want to blow a shit ton of cash... Thanks
>>56444297
I dont know if your retard.. but i found a cite thwt sells speakers whoelsae for dritcheap.. the entire world ecxept bsaement dwellers knwo the cite.. its called aliexpress..
Goos Luck
>>56444364
>calls retarted
>can't type
Thanks anyway
If you want decent not-bootleg stuff, you'll probably have to order off Amazon or Newegg or something. Most of the "wholesale" sites out there that are open to the public are just reselling taobao bootlegs at a markup.
Fight to the death.
Which is the better OS?
Why?
Is it worth going back to Windows 7?
With Windows 10 I get very good WiFi connection on my Microsoft Surface Book even when I'm far away from home and on a designated street.
Windows 10 is free and great. Im very glad i took advantage of the free upgrade.

After fucking around with various javascript frameworks and libraries.. Meteor, react, blaze, node, angular1/2 etc. I can categorically say that they are all shit and I will be sticking with my superior language, self built MVC framework and comfortable knowledge.
I just don't understand how to get a decent structure and have a nice codebase behind these various javacript piles of shit.
Can anybody help as I want to get up to date, but right now it feels like a complete waste of time.
Shameless bumping is shameless
Im pretty bummed out with javascript myself
>>56444262
I don't understand how you can that all of those are shit. While Angular is an absolute horror to write in, it's kind of legit and established.
React is actually kind of pleasant and not that complicated.
What are you trying to accomplish, and is literally no framework a good fit for you?
Also, I'd recommend looking at mithril.js, it's super fucking simple and unreasonably fast.
How does a 280x with 3gb vram compete with a gtx 680 4gb?
Most benchmarks I've found are only 2gb versions of the 680 but I'm sure the extra vram does help in newer titles...
Didn't you ask this a while ago? I told you that the 3GB of VRAM should be fine for a while.
>comparing 7970 GHz to gtx 680
what year is it
>>56444315
I did?
Anyways, I've got a friend offering me his 280x for 120aud, which is a bit cheaper than anywhere online, I was thinking I could buy it and sell my 680 for a profit over the cost of the 280x?
You think that's worth it?
What are some great laptops mates? I need some help here as I have depression and require someone to talk to... THANKS 4CHAN, NO APPLECRAP AS IT'S GAY AND FOR HOMOS THX

Thinkpads
So I've decided I want to learn front end development as a hobby, and have since learned some basic html/css/js.
pic: unrelated
My question is, how do I practice these skills without any actual content?
I know about CSS Zen Garden, but are there any other things I can use without having to type out pages and pages of paragraphs?
>>56444128
Restyle existing sites or find local nonprofs who badly need fresh design and do it for cheap.
>>56444501
I think I knew someone was gonna say something about restyling existing sites, just needed concurrence. My only issue is that not all sites use the standard modern convention for modulating html/css/js.
Did think of the nonprofit though, think ill research a cause i believe in with a shit design and offer to do it for like minimum wage per hr.
Thanks for the idea :)

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.
*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***
Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].
If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Anyone use openSUSE? How is it for home desktop usage? I want to be a special snowflake while still using something that's backed by business.

Just use Ubuntu you autistic faggot
In fact this ^ answer should be given for about 90% of the dumb questions on this thread
Here's a website I wanted to share with you.

Quite useful
Isn't mac also a pc? So then why do people compare mac to pc?
>>56443676
they used to be non intel up till 2006
so it really wasn't a PC
>>56443696
PC = personal computer
Are you suggesting that a mac without an Intel processor isn't a computer?
>>56443676
Branding.
I used to think that all the MS shills here must just be MS employees (they have 114,000!) But now, I start to worry that there are actually people here who don't see that they're essentially doing the marketing work of a major corporation for free.
Let's get some things clear: Practically every x86 PC sold has it's cost inflated by Microsoft for the use of their operating system. You are paying Microsoft one way or another.
If you're in the US, your government is paying Microsoft instead of using equivalent free and standards-compliant software. Essentially, that's more money out of your pocket.
Even every Android phone you buy, money is being paid to Microsoft (because they are a huge patent troll). In some cases this money is greater than the profit margin the manufacturer makes on the hardware! No one should consider them a friend.
Microsoft's modus operandi is embrace, extend, and destroy. Essentially, the argument GPL opponents try to use about it's 'infectious' nature is true about Microsoft's software efforts, and there's actually harm to the end user involved because Microsoft's software is proprietary and has to be paid for.
There is a veritable army of volunteers out there making a great free OS family, in many cases, just because they feel it's their contribution to society. Linux is like Wikipedia, and Microsoft Windows needs to go the way of the Encyclopædia Britannica.
