I'm a Mac guy. I'm a Mac fag. I dangle from the proverbial nutsack of Apple. I have the entire damn Eco system.

What we'll see from iPhone if there's even a new iPhone, the same shitty goddamn phone I'm holding in my hand right now, a 6s with tiny improvements if any.

The entire competition has quad core or better and much more ram. Pretty much better hardware spec wise. Now I like this phone and I have another line that's a regular 6 with 128gb. It's coming due for an upgrade and guess what I won't be getting, another iPhone.

There's things I like and dislike about both but I'm just leaning more towards another Android phone the next time around. Apple is and has stayed, behind just about every other phone maker on the market.

A few months ago, my wife's son started complaining his iphone 6 touch doesn't work sometimes. I thought he was doing something wrong and advised to restore his phone. After trying everything like resetting, restoring and etc.., none of them worked. It definitely seems touch disease. We've had all iphones from the very first generation, and never been frustrated like this. Hope Apple will do something. Otherwise they sure will lose many customers by this.

My wife's son's I6+ is experiencing this "Touch Disease" also. After 5 minutes of research, I found the answer: Faulty Design! This is a common issue and they know it. Ever since I installed 9.3.5 I´ve been having two big problems on my phone aside from touch disease..which is not related. My battery drains very quickly and I can not log in to my home wifi network without knocking all other devices off. Example, kids are watching netflix on the xbox and the moment I connect to the network the xbox loses its connection..and it´s on LAN and not WIFI. My macbook which is on WIFI also loses connection to the internet. Once I turn wifi off on my phone all other devices reconnect. Tried various ¨fixes¨ such as restoring network settings, disabling some network services, etc and absolutely nothing works. I´ve logged in to my router and it´s running the latest firmware...this started happening shortly after installing the latest patch...9.3.5.

Should I get one? My s7 died and I am phoneless.. but 900 dollars is a lot of money.

Same issue on a 6+ for almost 2 months now. Here's what I've done so far:

1. Data reset (home + power and wait for Apple logo to pop up)

Would come back and be OK for few minutes/hours. Issue would still happen. Hit or miss approach.

2. Restored my phone from a backup

3. Restored my phone as new

4. Deleted over 30GB of pics and vids to free memory up (I have a 64gb)

5. Updated my iOS to latest release

6. Reset my network connections (this was me grasping at straws here)

7. Opened 2 separate cases with Apple Chat

This phone has been in a case since coming out of the box. Not bent. Adult owned and used. Never dropped. Not a scratch anywhere. Babied in every sense of the word.

Out of warranty and all the help from Apple is pointing towards a repair charge for screen damage. Unacceptable.

I am using IPhone 6plus with latest iOS version 9.3.4. I am seeing my phone touch is unresponsive often these days and can not even switch it off. And, I see some gray bar flickering on top of the screen when this occurs. I tried to search the issue online and found that this is an ongoing issue which they called it as "Touch disease" and but could not find any real solution for it. Please help me on this.

iPhone 6 plus intermittent unresponsive screen

So a couple days ago, my iPhone 6+ began having intermittent screen responsiveness. First time, I received a phone call and couldn't answer it because the swipe wouldn't work. I turned it off and back on with no luck. I reset it and that fixed it. That was the only issue that day. I the last few days it's becoming more frequent. Today alone I've had to reset it eight times.

What it's doing;

touch screen is unresponsive to touch entirely.
touch screen responds after a delay
I tap an app icon and the app two rows up opens instead.
from loch screen-can't answer phone calls or notifications.

Sometimes it just leave it alone and come back to it and it's fine. Sometimes I leave it alone and come back with same result and I have to reset it. Sometimes I reset it once and trying to unlock with touchscreen (because touch ID doesn't work after reset) doesn't work so I reset it twice. It has worked after the second time, so far.

The phone is in perfect condition. Never been dropped. Was updated to 8.3 the day it was released so the issue didn't arise immediately after an update.

Anyone having these issues?

I am now on my third iPhone 6 +, two of which suffered from the touch disease after screen replacements. Both of the screen replacements was one small crack, from a mild fall, that the glass cracked on. The screens are not tough and the system board is weak also. I am lucky I have a square trade warranty, but these repairs have cost me money, time and aggravation. I personally have had two phones with this and know that this is an epidemic. I went to the apple store, prior to the posting of Ifix it report and two others had the same issue. They were having people pay for screen repairs and swapping out phones, for Apple's defect. I am very disappointed in Apple right now.

In any case, one thing that android is missing here is stop fucking with higher resolutions. They should just stick to full hd because there's fuckall of a difference at higher resolutions on a goddamn 5" screen. But the iphone should step its game up and go full hd instead of this laughable excuse of a resolution it has.

Despite what people said about the iphone 6, I think it looks fantastic. Absolutely love its aesthetics, but I'm using an xperia z3 now and one thing I absolutely love about this phone is the fact that I can continuously switch between a myriad of apps and sometimes plain out forget about one there in the background, then I switch back to it and there's no reloading at all whatsoever. Apple makes amazing cpus and then cripple the shit out of it by putting pathetic amounts of RAM on the thing. I also hate how in ios you have to go through obstacle just to do the simplest fucking thing in the world, such as just pasting something in your phone and calling it a day. I have an ipad and I hate itunes with a passion.

If that was happening with you, you were doing something wrong. Or maybe it was a defective unit, you should have took it to the store. The only iPhones that would actually lag with new iOS versions are those that have an A5 or lower inside. Even with all the features introduced up until iOS10, its still a lightweight OS and it can run perfectly on an A6 (iphone 5).

Like I said, id rather have my devices officially supported with official updates than pay money for a company that is going to drop support for my phone in a year, making me have to trust on some teen pajeets on XDA to get the latest version on my phone.

iPhones are more expensive at first but considering all the years of official support, they are a much better investment. Even a 2012 iPhone 5 is still getting support. Meanwhile not a single 2014 Android is getting android 7.

Buying a new phone every year doesn't make sense anymore. This used to be true when hardware was still evolving rapidly, now we are at a point where phone hardware is already powerful enough to do anything you might need in the future, as long as you have software updates to keep it fresh.
