Question for Adobe Premiere Pro pros. I have a 4:3 video, which I want to edit in Premiere to export as a 16:9 vid (720, 1080, doesn't really matter). So far the only way I figured out how to do that was to make a 16:9 sequence (preset, either 720 or 1080), then drag that in there and manually stretch the 4:3 until it's edges touch the 16:9 frame set by the sequence. Surely there's a better way than that right? Instead of stretching it, is there a way to just import the video into a sequence, then place something like a small 16:9 frame/scale/border OVER the 4:3 video, editing/deleting everything outside of that border, making it essentially a zoomed in 16:9 edit? Does that make sense? Am I retarded?

Dont stretch the video OP, you have to crop the video in order to fill the 16:9 aspect ratio or create a blurred background with the same video under the original clip
>>
>>58494255
There's a couple of different ways to do this. My suggestion:

>Import video, right-click on it and New Sequence from Clip
>Do your editing
>Ctrl+M to export, media encoder pops up
>Select one of the many 16:9 presets
>In the upper left where it says Source Scaling set it to either Scale to Fit, or Scale to Fill

Scale to Fit will add borders to the side of your video. Scale to Fill will scale up the content and chop off the top and bottom.
>>
>>58494255
Yes you're retarded.

Rate My Build Edition

Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.

Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

General Tips:
>Consider substituting an i5 6500 for an i3 in any RX470/480 or GTX 1060 tier build
>Consider substituting an i5 for an i7 if you are not a content creator
>Consider stock fan+heatsink for any i3 or locked i5 build
>Consider a B150 mobo for any i3 build
>Always consider an SSD for your build, the difference between one and an HDD is night and day

Redpill me on GNOME desktop /g/. Why is it such shit when it has so much potential?

I don't use GNOME as my DE but I just tried this GNOME application called Lollipop and while it has a very clean UI, it's total shit.

1) Not one but TWO HAMBURGER menus! Hamburger menus are total shit and unintuitive.

2) No way to change volume.

3) No way to just drag a song or album on top of it.. you must put your music into a single folder and then hit update.

4) No textual menus at all. Just a giant fucking bar at the top.

WTF is wrong with GNOME devs? All of their apps are like this.

Maybe whoever developed the application is at fault here? I don't think this application is even made by the GNOME guys, just someone who is abusing GTK3...

What's your favourite encoder?
What settings do you use?
Why are you encoding?

Generally asking
Is this the best OS out there?
memes aside
>I feel pissed off with all the other Linux distro's and it's standards
>it uses based OpenRC
>source based
>I install programs from source all the time
>Can literally be anything you want it to be
>since it's compiled for your system it is optimized for your system making it much faster than any other distro
>the logo is cool
Is this the true final answer?
Should I do it?
Should I Install Gentoo?

Is codechef a fucking retard?
Or am I?

I have this problem to solve: https://www.codechef.com/problems/SUMTRIAN

And this was my proposed solution: http://pastebin.com/TuXJ0FUw

It follows the logic of pic related.

Works fine with the test values and some of my own.

Codechef says the answer is wrong.

Is it right or not?!

>this feminine code
>>
>>58493702
From what I can tell your code look ahead at all, for example
Given
1
1 2
1 2 3
1 5 2 1

your code will sum 1, 2, 3, 2 and give the total 8.
However if it summed 1, 2, 2, 5 it would give the total 10.
Because it cannot step left once it picks the 3 it is stuffed.

Also, fix your indents and use braces all the time, sloppy shit makes the code less obvious (look at line 17 for example)
