FInd your model number and this will tell you.
>>58495070
Model is LT-HP-0405
It's a 17.3" omen.
The site you gave me is great but it only has a fuckton of 15" models. Idk if they both take the same kind
I can guarantee that if you can't even work out something this simple you do not have any need for 32GB of ram.
So why exactly is using a large tv as a monitor stupid?
I've done it for 10 years with a samsung 37"1080p tv and it was glorious. Every moment of it.
I loved the screen space, i loved having a huge screen half a meter in front of me, never noticed any input lag even with hardcore dmc4 practice.
No ghosting.
So what is so bad about it?

Just installed Linux mint on my laptop (wiped windows from it - so not new to linux but don't know all the cool stuff), what are some essential apps/features to grab on it?
>It's a work laptop - I'm a software performance tester.
>>58494848
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

As a long time user of Blackcats that hasn't had a need for a games tracker in a while - where should I go? I've got several trackers under my belt that do games as a "side thing" but I liked the quality and selection that came with the Blackcats of yore. I lost U-G, and now I've lost Blackcats...

does PSU Orientation Matter? like the fan facing up or down, most modern PSU's the fan only turns on when under heave load, which way do you have your PSU?
>>58494338
Usually your case has instructions on the direction the PSU fan should face.
>>58494338
I'd only flip the psu if case temps were too high and I had no other cooling options.
fresh air every tiem
>>58494338
faced down because mine has its own dust filter and the psu's cooling is separated from everything else.
Callbacks are completely gone with Node 7 (using --harmony flag)
NodeJS is good now.var req = require('request-promise');
async function test(url1,url2) {
if(url1 === '' || url2 === '') {
throw new Error();
}
return [await req(url1), await req(url2)];
}
test('http://www.google.com', 'http://www.bing.com')
.then(res=>{
console.log(res);
})
.catch(err=>{
console.log(err);
});
eh go is still faster and fills the same niche. its also designed by smarter people. i think ill stick with go.
Callbacks were never a big deal and nobody ever forced you to inline them.
There are still plenty of cases where you'd want to use callbacks instead of async/await
>>58494304
Why even bother using node if you're going to force shit to be synchronous?
Are there any good Android phones out there with removable batteries?

I'm updating to Windows 10 from 8.1 for sole reason of more customization and a bit more speed
>>58494260
But "upgrading" to win10 literally offers the opposite to both.
>>58494260
Just install windows in a VM
>>58494500
Windows updates the way it does because it used to be that literal idiots would keep putting off windows updates and suddenly be infection vectors for the hip new virus of the week.
I remember those days - the absolute worst was when I got nailed by a fucking virus while INSTALLING Windows 2000 - yes, you heard me, I got infected WHILE INSTALLING THE FUCKING OS.
So yeah, it's annoying, but I understand why it does it, because I don't want to go back to the bad old days. The bad old days that you would actually remember if you weren't such a newfag.
