Who started the slit-screen meme /g/?
I tried out a game on a mates iPad and I creamed myself over the extra vertical vision
I'm looking at my monitor right now wishing it was taller so I can play games with normal vision rather than sliteyes
Why do games cut out vertical gameplay so we have to play games with sliteye vision?
Is it cheaper to make games in sliteyed vision?
>>58491489
Blame the introduction to wide film formats
>>58491528
How come cinemas only increased the width of their screens?
Why didn't they vertically increase their screen size as well?
If I remember correctly humans see the world in roughly 3:2 aspect ratio, so how come we don't we make movies like normal people's vision, rather than people with eyes half closed
>>58491561
Probably because for films expanding upwards would just give you more of the ground / sky whereas expanding horizontal gives you more useful space to work with.
/g/, why didn't you prevent me from buying this piece of shit?
Why is your life so empty?
>>58491435
We tried.
How can Apple even compete?
how do I get neutotypical fags to install gentoo
You won't be able to. Mainly because having a source based distribution is practically useless to most people.

>>58491328
You'll have to lie and tell them that its worth it

For real though - if linux is too hard just install babby tools like linux mint until you get the hang of it.
What do you use for DNS?
If I use 8.8.8.8, Google will get a peek at every DNS lookup I do.
Do I need to host my own DNS if I want a little privacy?
>>58491103
Doesn;t microsoft supply the default one on windows?
Make a plugin for your browser that records and translates domain names to ip addresses.
>>58491157
..... And how would you keep that up to date and allow customization?
The DNS is purposly a best possible decentralized system
Software thread? Maybe with some serious discussion about better alternatives and stuff like that.

Let's talk about Windows and Linux, together.
wasn't this posted on /r/unixporn like an hour ago

why bother with linux when theres macOS? not like you need the hardware, linux has no games lel
>>58490981
macOS is for faggots
Hi /g/,
I have a team of about 10 people who are currently working on a new OS which is inspired by other OSes coded from the ground up.
It's an emoji-based operating system which uses only emojis as its codebase, and most system functions are emojis. All bits are represented as farm animals, etc.
We're here to answer any questions you might have about the OS, but mainly we want to know what features you guys think we should add!
Thanks
can you possibly add<suicide.h>
?
Thanks.
Emojis are a terrible way of expressing oneself imho. I think an OS revolving around digital smug images with JPEG compression or PNG would be better.
>>58490943
No, we're shooting for emojis.
I'm adopting this tripcode for the thread
Okay first don't like cp or none of that dumb shit but question is well a have some 1. How do I write a VPN for i2p? 2. For how safe is it with orbot and that other fox plug in? 3. How safe am I with a VPN for a sub mask and a mask on?

All the new keyboards aimed at children come with led lights. Have kids lost the ability to type without looking at the keys?
>>58490737
light keys are cool
Of course not, but when the difference between RGB LED backlighting and just a normal keyboard is $30. Why the fuck not?
I'm already spending $100+ on a mech, going for mech + RGB is only a slight bit more and while it may not be used often, it's fun to mess around with.
>lights to encourage you to never learn where the keys are because you constantly look at them
or
