Redpill me on GNOME desktop /g/. Why is it such shit when it has so much potential?
I don't use GNOME as my DE but I just tried this GNOME application called Lollipop and while it has a very clean UI, it's total shit.
1) Not one but TWO HAMBURGER menus! Hamburger menus are total shit and unintuitive.
2) No way to change volume.
3) No way to just drag a song or album on top of it.. you must put your music into a single folder and then hit update.
4) No textual menus at all. Just a giant fucking bar at the top.
WTF is wrong with GNOME devs? All of their apps are like this.

Maybe whoever developed the application is at fault here? I don't think this application is even made by the GNOME guys, just someone who is abusing GTK3...

Point 1 and 4 are GNOMEs fault.
is this it?

Because more and more people are using smartphones, so modern desktop application design is starting to reflect that.
There's plenty of choice, if you don't like it use another fucking De, shit-for-brains.
Gnome is a very good desktop environment. People claiming that it's made for tablets must have never used it and only seen screenshots of the all programs view, which never gets used in practice because you can just type the name of the program you want.

come again? why have a DE at all then if you're just typing shit into a box?
