I would like to buy this chinkphone since my UMI Super's https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/8c793c02 battery went to shit and got swollen so badly. I've replaced it and the battery life is grat (for now). The camera is not that good tho and rom support is shit. The fingerprint scanner is good, it also has the audio jack and the phone is quite fast, but I worry that the battery might explode. What about this LEAGOO MIX

https://lettier.github.io/posts/2016-08-15-making-movie-monad.html

> Under the hood, the application uses the Electron framework which in turn uses Chromium and Node.js. Using only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can use Electron to develop a desktop application. The nice part about Movie Monad, however, is that we will create the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using Haskell.

Hey so I don't get the controversy around the purism librems.

I know when they first came out they were just expensive laptops with linux support, but now that their ME is removed and they support coreboot OOTB doesn't that mean they're just as free as any libreboot laptop?

Dude, as far as freedom goes, they're EXACTLY THE SMAE

Get a librem tho, it's 10000x faster
>>
>>62231252
>they're just as free as any libreboot laptop?
Yes. Although I couldn't bring myself to buy anything of theirs given how scummy they are. I'm also vaguely aware the touchpad driver that ships in their distribution wasn't upstream at one point, although that might be fixed now.Honestly, they came across as disingenuous when they started, and that hasn't changed.

Even now their site produly advertises
>We are pushing the most ambitious hardware+software liberation effort ever undertaken, with a strong focus on security.
What the fuck is that. All they've done is use money they got by pretending they had the means to remove Intel's management engine to get coreboot ported to their hardware. Then they go and change their site turn 'remove' into 'neutralize' where the management engine is mentioned so they can get away with running a tool someone else made.

How come (((they))) allow this?
A simple program loses billions and billions of $ yearly to the online industry.Surely big corporations should me more worried about it, but no one seems to care much, weirdly enough.
Yeah, some sites block their content for adblock users, some ads try to outsmart it, etc, but it general, adblock thrives .Im really surprised that google for example still hasnt found a way to completely get rid of it, im sure adblocks fuxks their income a lot

Microsoft can't possibly implement that without getting a slap on the wrist from the EU and forcing them to make yet another edition without those features.

If it was included it would be shit, guaranteed.
Also, you can already extract regular .zip files.

So I've just installed this CloverOS thing on a test machine I've got and it throws me 404s after emerging whatever window manager I choose. I can ping just fine so it's definitely not my hardware. Are the repositories down and which should I add instead? Just asking in case I won't break anything if I just paste in the official Gentoo repos or whatever.

nvm i solved it. just changed pkg_binhost in make.conf with useast.cloveros.ga and it works.

I was lucky enough to land an entry level programming job with no prior experience. Been programming in Java since February and so far most of my knowledge came from reading the Java OCA prep book. I've since passed the OCA but I'm definitely lacking a lot of best practices or design pattern knowledge because I'm so inexperienced.

Which books are considered a must read to take my programming to the next level? I've heard good things about Effective Java (Bloch), anything else?
