I was lucky enough to land an entry level programming job with no prior experience. Been programming in Java since February and so far most of my knowledge came from reading the Java OCA prep book. I've since passed the OCA but I'm definitely lacking a lot of best practices or design pattern knowledge because I'm so inexperienced.
Which books are considered a must read to take my programming to the next level? I've heard good things about Effective Java (Bloch), anything else?

> Effective Java
Yes
>Java Concurrency in Practice

Alright, a new edition of Effective Java comes out next month so I'll get that.
>Java Concurrency in Practice
I've seen that mentioned many times too but no idea what it is. I'll look into it
What are you working with exactly?
JSP? JSF? EE? Spring?
