Why is my usb wireless adapter unable to see my router but can see a mobile hotspot from my phone sitting at the same distance as the router? Windows 10
>>62227343
You bought a shitty adapter.
>>62227343
It's your router. Either that or it's yet another Windows 10 bug
>>62227427
Every other device in the house doesn't have a problem connecting to the router so i'm guessing Windows 10 bug

I'm looking for the best headphone/mic experience for around 200-250 bucks and I know people here have much better experience with headphones than I. I had a ATH-50's, whatever the audio technica ones were, but they just weren't comfortable for me so I sold em off with my mod moc.
ATM I'm looking at Sennheiser HD598 and the V MODA Crossfade M-100.

Supers yall,
I need some advice regarding domains & hosting if anyone has the time.
I have a domain and we will call it xxx.com, this domain has a basic linux hosting plan with about 30 email addresses setup and in use. I would set up emails threw cpanal of hosting. I want to cancel the domain and hosting as it would be 100$+ to renew. I can use coupon code once cancled to buy back domain and hosting plan for 12$. So I want to know if I backup all files using ftp and push the files back to the new hosting server how would I get the email accounts and messages to show up? I did this last year and lost alot of stuff, nothing important "spam spam and more spam" but now i have important crap i dont want to lose.
any advice would be much appreciated
Thx anon
If you want help:
>Assemble parts list

>State the budget for your build (and country if not USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?

CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>A10 9700 - poverty-tier builds (no dGPU)
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 or Vega 56 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
>Good fucking luck even getting a VEGA right now
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor
Fuck miners
1st for LOOK AT IT FUCKING GO LADS
>>62227346
Miner pls go.
>>62227268
What is the best m.2 NVMe SSD in terms of price/performance?
WHY DID THEY KILL UNITY?
>Have Google Pixel with 3:2 2560x1700 13" screen
>XFCE doesn't scale without looking retarded
>KDE plasma doesn't scale for shit
>Gnome doesn't scale either
>Unity scales perfectly after changing one setting
Fucking free tards will always kill off useful software. If it isn't anti user bullshit like vi, it isn't worthy.
>if I have to learn something it's anti-user
Use macOS
>>62227220
>gnome doesn't scale
It does though
>>62227233
Didn't for me.
>>62227230
If it takes more than 15 minutes to change a SIMPLE setting and requires multiple google searches, it is bad software. DPI scaling is a standard feature.
Hi /g/, quick question.
I really badly want to reconfigure the wireless router but it's not mine and I'm scared to reset it, account is not default username / password. Do you recommend any brute-force software that brute-forces usernames and passwords?
>>62227185
You should probably ask your parents for the password before you mess with something they're paying for.
That or turn 18 and get your own place.
A big part of hacking is social engineering
Reset it and claim it was bugged. Pretend it suddenly stopped working.
>>62227185
How many decades are you planning on spending on that router?
give me one good reason not to get this monitor to replace my dual 1080p set?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00R420VAG/
op here i wont be buying from this particular listing cause i just realized the seller is not amazon or fullfilled by amazon so i wont risk getting a box of rocks or something
>>62227177
For that price you might as well get a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor.
>>62227177
It's expensive mostly and may not offer any real-life advantages other than bragging rights.
If you actually need two screens worth of data available at any one minute, meaning alt-tab is not enough for you, that monitor is a good option.
>Gaming
144hz 1440p
>Productivity involving small amounts of text and requirements for high color accuracy with less data on the screen at once
4K 25-32inch
>Productivity with lots of different applications all needed at once, lots of data or work out at one time, or casual gaming

Realistically, what is the most PHYSICAL damage a virus could do to your computer?
>>62226851
It could thrash your hard drive. Probably not much damage at all.

if you can flash the bios you can make the sysem not boot. theoretically some laptops have a power management prosessor. you could over volt some parts if you reverse engender the board. its not worth it though.
