I stayed with mine for 5 years, she kept getting depressed and bigger, sadly - through my own fault and getting depressed because of the situation I was in I ended up doing the same.
Last year, we finally split - since then she's dropped about 50lbs and I've dropped nearly 90lbs and I'm a shitload leaner than I was before.
We still socialise, get on fine and fuck now and again (neither of us cba with a relationship right now) but we've come to the conclusion we just don't work as a couple - we drag each other down. Kinda sad but yeah, much like men, women can improve.
