How the fuck does one quit smoking? I do these HIIT classes and it really bothers me that even though i'm the biggest guy there my resistance to high-intensity training is shit,and i suspect it is because of smoking.I managed to cut from 1 pack a day to maybe 10-15 cigs.

i'm 6'0 120 lbs. Pathetic. I know. I've been like this for all my life, a walking stick. Well, I've decided enough is enough, and said I'm going to join a gym.

I was terrified, A skinny piece of shit like me entering a gym, everyone's going to laugh, point, and kick me out, but I just told myself, remember all the people who ever made fun of you through out life, it can't get any worse then that, and use that as motivation. So I did.

I entered the gym and my fucking legs were shaking, no joke. I have a routine that I am going to use, but today I said I'm just going to go in there and get a feel for the place, try a few exercises and get out. I walk in there, I was about to throw up cuz i was so nervous, so I just walked straight to the curl rack.

There was an average guy next to me curling, I don't know looked about 30 lbs, so I figured I can probably do 20, so I try to pick up the 20's. AND I COULDN'T. The guy next to me was staring at me, and told me "Try something else" then points at these pink ones on the floor. Apparently his friend behind him was watching and started laughing. So I turned around and I wanted to say something, but I just couldn't, I pick up the pink dumbbells and start curling. Well his friend starts making smart remarks like "WHOA THIS GUY IS A BEAST" and other things. I was so pissed I almost threw a punch but then I realized how big they are and decided not to. I threw down the weight and stood up tall. I then told the bully he was a stupid idiot right in his face and walked out before they could say anything. I could only imagine how mad he was that he wasnt able to beat me up and that makes the whole trip a success. I think im gonna try a home gym.

That picture isn't accurate. I see my muscles and how big I am, but then I notice hey my chest could be a little bigger, my hamstrings don't have that bulge I want, my lats could be a little more cobra (don't want my gf to leave me), my forearms could be a little more joocey, and it goes on and on, forever not being big enough.

What progress have you made in your live besides of getting a better physique? I'm talking about academic or social achievements, anything that isn't directly connected to weightlifting basically.

/fit/ I'm fucking dying and I don't have health insurance so I can't go to the doctors. I live with my parents and they don't want to pay for it, and they won't let me go to the doctor cause we'd be paying out of pocket and haven't had health insurance for years. I could pay for it but I just have a minimum wage part time job stocking grocery at night shift that's paying for college.

So I'm consulting the /fit/ doctors for advice. Do I try to fix each problem on its own, or try to get some cheap health insurance and go to a doctor for a one time visit?

Idk I think my diet is fine. I worshipped and studied /fit/ food guides for a good 2 years and my parents make dinner for all of us. I eat mostly healthy otherwise. Could do with more salads and fruit I guess.

But these wrist issues are killing me.

When I worked on a farm, the guy who owned the place ate 2-5 eggs every morning, every single day of the year. It depended on the season and amount of work which was required. I have no idea if that's particularly healthy, but he didn't have any major problems at all.
