Me and my cousin are about to start exercising and cutting. The calculator says that he needs to eat 3500 calories a day, and I need 4500. The only problem is that it seems like it would be a shit ton of food if we were eating chicken breasts, brown rice, and broccoli with hardboiled eggs in the morning. What foods do we need to buy to get more calories while eating less? It has to be something that I can cook all at once on Sunday and refrigerate, since we don't have the time to cook every meal right before we eat it.

It might not have sugar but the aspartame and other artificial sweeteners are terrible for you. Try making lemonade or other drinks yourself so you can choose what kind and how much of sugar you get.

So guys, do any of you do a breathing routine?

Yes, everybody breathes. But this is about specifically, a breathing routine. Such as Wim Hof's Method, or controlled hyperventilation, etc etc.

I've seen some anons talk about a 4-8-12 breathing rhythm, could somebody post any info on that?

I'm fat, but since i subscribed to the gym about a month ago, i've lost 4 kg thanks to a cardio/lifting program.
However, i did not change my diet.
Will i lose weight faster if i consume less calories than my recommended 2050 calories ?
Also, as of today, i decided to stop drinking anything other than water, but what if i drink a soda like once a week. How will the sugar react in my body ?

It's all about diet. You could sit on your ass all day and lose weight as long as you eat 500kcal less than your tdee. Doesn't matter where those calories come from, but it certainly doesn't hurt to gravitate towards healthier foods for the sake of your well-being.

Keep in mind, your tdee will gradually decrease as you continue to lose weight (unless you become more active). This is where most people fail, claiming they've hit a "weight loss plateau" when they're actually just eating too much/moving too little.

Listen, young guy: It can take YEARS to build up mass and strength. Not everyone is an 'easy gainer', most people are 'hard gainers'. Consistency in your training, and being in it for the Long Game is the key. Don't expect results overnight.

When I started I struggled with the bar, never touched a weight as a 5' 6 125lb turbo dyle. 4 months later I'm 145 (>still 5'6) and yesterday I did 135 5x5. Not sure what my max is, maybe like 170ish?

Depends on your age. The average male bench press is apparently around 135lbs for 1 rep max, which is pretty sad when you think about it.

I know I started (at 14) with the bar and two 10lb weights on each time (so 55lbs) for like 7-8 reps.

At 20 when I actually lifted and bulked for the first time my bench went up to 250-260lb max with a bodyweight of around 200.

At 22 after not lifting for a long ass time I was repping out 135lbs for 10 reps, with a 1 rep max of around 180-190lbs.

As a beginner I would (young adult male) I would expect likely a bench press of around 135lbs for reps of at least 5. If your skeletor though with really low bodyweight probably like 65-85lbs for reps I guess.

Ok, so there is the journey of the "Meathead", where a younger guys is "all natty", then after a couple years of stalling, since natties are limited he takes the roid plunge, just aims for aesthetics, but over time he gets bigger, and doesn't know where to draw the line. don't follow the sticky on this. Everyone is so fucking caught up on Calories In, Calories Out but that's bullshit.

weightloss is controlled by hormones, primarily Insulin and cortisol. You can control these by restricting eating to THREE squares meals a day, NO SNACKS. or just one meal a day.


cut out REFINED carbs and sugars, these spike insulin and make sure you get 8-9 hours of sleep to prevent a rise in cortisol.

if you want to follow a specific protocol you can follow leangains or read about fasting on Dr jason Fung's blog. I've tried dieting any which way and this is the truth. I've lost 90lbs doing this shit.

Hey guys I've been lifting for about 2 months now. I want to try a pre workout to get get some more energy and what not. At this time I'm only taking whey and a multi-vitamin occasionally. I'm torn between The Curse by Cobra Labs and Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard pre workout. Do any of you guys have any experience with these as far as which one works better and which one tastes better? Any other suggestions would be cool too.
