Alright /fit/, here's the deal. I've spent my whole life, almost 22 years, as a fat fuck. But a few months ago I decided on a change. I am going to become a green beret. My reasons behind this are many, but unimportant for this conversation.
Now, obviously I need to be in DAMN good shape to become a green beret, so I've been working REALLY hard on it the last few months. I've gone from over 220 pounds to 206. I'm up to about 30 push ups, 30 sit ups, and 2 miles in about 25 minutes. My goals are 180 lbs, 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and a 13 minute 2 mile run. I'm making decent progress, but here's the deal. I can't fucking stand working in retail anymore.
Every day I have to go deal with that bullshit is torture, not to mention all that time standing behind a register is time I'm not spending working out. I am seriously starting to consider quitting, tightening my financial belt to a size 0, and committing full time to working out. I'm trying to figure out how quick I can get to my goals if I do this, and if I can support myself with the cash I have left in that time.
So what do you think? I would start running 2 miles every day (building up that distance as I get better), doing the Reddit Body Weight routine every other day (can't afford gym equipment/membership. I'd do everyday, but my understanding is it's better to have off days,) and a MINIMUM of two MMA classes 6 days a week (no classes on Sunday.) Once I get my cardio up a bit, I'll start going to the store only via bike too (last time I tried I legit nearly passed out.)
I'll live off brown rice, beans, oatmeal, and frozen veggies if need be. I'll devout my body and soul to meeting my goals as fast as fucking possible. But how fast is that? How long would I have to stretch out my finances if I start this today?
Please help me /fit/. I can't handle retail anymore. I just want to move on to the next stage in my life.

General consensus is yes it does work.
It produces better results in overall lenght instead of girth.
BUT, you will face a higher chance of limp dick.
Think of it like this.
You have a brand new pump to move some water into a tank, it is made to fill N#of gallons per minute and you have to fill the tank in 2 minutes.
Get a bigger tank with the same pump, the 2 minutes MUST stay the same, no biggie right? the pump is new so you strain it cuz its NEW.

How do i accelerate the cutting progress without losing muscle and staying natty ? I feel like i made no progress even if im eating clean and at a caloric deficit. I dont want to introduce cardio because i always feel flatter after i do it i think it eats away muscle..

Lifting belt. Yes or no?
I only squat 90 kilos for sets of five but I still like using the belt. It just makes me feel more stable and safe, but I'm afraid I may be cheating the weights.
I don't really use them for deadlifts except on one rep maxes.

If you want to use a belt then use a belt.
There is no set weight to use a belt. I start using it around 80% of my 1rm for squats. For diddlys I only use it on max attempts

I used a belt around 90-100kg (squat) when I first reached those weights and started having trouble, but I've stopped using it since. I brace better and don't feel like I need it anymore, but who knows once I start moving even bigger weights.
Use it if you want to, but make sure you're not using it as a crutch because you can't brace properly.
