I am moving to Canada, and more accurately to Vancouver. I need help figuring out which gym I should join, some tips about food and anything related to fitness.
I'm recovering from a wrist injury and will get back into powerlifting, with a background in olympic lifting.
Any advice regarding how to live the /fit/ life in Canada is welcome.

Goodlife is a pretty generic commercial gym but they have decent freeweight equipment at most locations.
No frills is the cheapest place to go for food, loblaws and other PC stores are good to. Everything in vancouvers costs so much money though.
Do eurofags have costco? Costco should be your stop for basically everything (groceries, whey, supps, etc.)

Yes, I can go up or down 5 pounds a day. That's why I typically weigh myself three days in a row and always after waking up and peeing, then lay off the scale for a week. Usually what I guess is closest to my actual weight is what will come up twice, so I can rule out the other day that is a bit further from the other two as a fluctuation from water retention or something.
Twice daily. Helps me do a light work out in the morn and after my heavy in the evening. Helps me figure out where I'm platouing at and motivates me to keep going.
I stopped weighing. Only take measurements now, more relevant.

Can squatting high actually hurt your knees? I got into a debate with my schools athletic trainer today because she's telling my friend that the outter part of his knee is hurting since he squats so deep. She claims you should squat with narrow feet and with a half or quarter squat for safety.
Her other defense was that high squats can't hurt ligaments like the ACL because those require rotation to tear them.
Have I been being meme'd this whole time about ATG squatting??? Alot of sources online say that studies have no concrete proof on how deep squats are safer for your knees.
