Protein question:

Fell for the bulkin meme. Put on a lot of strength but got too fat (260 lbs, thankfully I'm 6'4" and look fairly good with a shirt on - also new medication made my appetite skyrocket). Obviously must lose a lot of fat and maintain as many gains as possible.

So most sources (including the one in the STICKY WHICH I READ) seem to suggest 1.5 g protons/lb body weight. 390 grams of protein? Really?

Other sources say eat your target weight in protons (I want to get down to 225, so 225 grams). And some article cites studies that say .82 g/lb is the upper limit of "usable protein".

what the fuck, /fit?

Nutrition for dummies:
0) Systems are each in thermal equilibrium with a third, then they are in thermal equilibrium with each other. Also, calories in = calories out for weight, but healthiness may vary.

1) Eat your veggies. Subtract those calories.
2) Eat 0.5-1 g/lb protein. Sources vary. Go work out. If you're not gaining muscle, up your protein. If you are, feel free to cut back a bit if the farts are getting to you.
3) Fill up the rest of your calorie budget. Try not to make it all twinkies.

If you're losing weight, take calories out of (3) first. If you're gaining weight, add calories into (1) and (2) first.

"Acceptable" levels is not the same as healthy, optimal levels.
The acceptable levels factor in age ranges all the way to 60s.
Not sure why this is alowed, other than the "its cheating!" boogeyman. Any other factor in health is measured by peer age groups, and treated accordingly.

Are people who take medication for blood pressure l, diabetes or cholesterol cheating? What about women who take birth control, or estrogen after menopause? Hey, maybe they should just accept their afflictions the way they are, and work with what they've got! No excuses! ;^)

Dr. Fit wtf is wrong with my lower back? When I sit it has that weird looking curve unless I really stress pushing it in, and in this video you can see it looks weird as fuck.

I have back issues but the doctor said it didn't look wrong but idk if she was just trying to speed it up or didn't see it well enough.

I did get an mri and they told me I have Degenerative disc disease but is this part of it? Or is it my posture?

I lack discipline

I'm a computer addict who faps to porn multiple times a week and compulsively plays vidya, even if I don't like the game. I get nervous and afraid if I don't have my computer or phone with me, because that means I'd have to start doing my college homework and studying. I procrastinate all day and don't work out. I'm anxious about falling behind in school, but I keep procrastinating to escape that feeling. It's like a fat person eating to relieve their fat stress.

You guys seem to have more drive and discipline than some other boards. Any advice you can give to help put me on the right track? I used to run daily and my life was great but I'm so lazy and complacent now.
