Shit like this makes me appreciate my body. I only do pull ups when I go with a partner who wants to do them which is once every 3 months and I can do 5x5 easily with a 45lb plate strapped to my waist.

I have to do a 50mile hike with 100 pounds of equipment on my shoulders next week.

I dont think my body is ready for it. Are there some techinques to keep mind over matter? Or some sort of pills or substance to take to keep my body working longer or give temporary enegry?
Would drinking protein shake during that hike actually help somehow?

I try to flex the abs while sitting to maintain good posture. Problem is when I do that for more than 20 min at a time, my abs start to hurt. Pretty sure I don't have a hernia. Are my abs muscles just weak, or should I get it checked out?

it's fine, but you need to do PSMF. google lyle's rapid fat loss handbook and follow it CAREFULLY. you have to supplement certain things on a diet like that or you will get deficiencies. as for the results, I went from around 95kg to 84kg in 5-6 weeks. strength loss was tolerable.
