Anyone else smoke cannabis while working out? It makes me significantly more aware of my form and makes me better at it, because I care less about looking awkward around other people in the gym

I used to. Got really addicted it and smoked 4 years daily. Then I realized I had spent thousands of euros on it and quitted. I couldn't sleep like two weeks.

Hell no. Weed fucks up everything for me. It makes me very anxious and antisocial. I'm always scared of basically anything. I always feel like an alien too. Makes me extremely lazy. And I can't stop eating. I never smoke weed unless I have really bad insomnia. It's only good for helping me fall asleep. I think I'm too mentally fucked up for weed.

Supplement Thread time

What supps do you use, how much?

Question: How do I make it so taking my Zinc doesn't make me nauseous? Even if I break it into quarters (so from 50 mg down to 12.5 mg) it still makes me nauseous. Should it be taken on a full stomach or empty stomach? Can I dissolve it in water? What should I eat with it?

I would suggest taking zinc at night before bed, not right after eating but not on an empty stomach. I take Zinc monomethionine with vit b-6 at night every day and then ZMA (zinc, magnesiu, vit b-6) on days I work out. Sleep great and feel more recovered. Make sure you have at least 6 hours to sleep. Not sure about Zinc helping with testosterone and such though. Both of what I take has only 30mg of zinc too as opposed to the 50mg pic

i take some of the evl zma and i sleep great now and wake up easy and feel great and that lets me eat more in the morning, and since ive taken it i feel like i recover better, recommend for sure

5'7", 250 lbs fatty here. Aside from fork putdowns and cardio, I'm doing ab workouts. Do I need to take days off? I know you won't see my abs until I lose all this weight, but my question is, is taking days off for my abs to heal going to make them more pronounced once my belly goes down?

My gymbro is always talking about his wife, how they finally got married a few years ago, how their parents were against their relationship at first but their love persevered, how they're such a mismatched couple because she's a lawyer and he's a pe teacher, etc. I know everything about her. About them.

I'm always asking him "when am I gonna meet Samantha? Why don't you take Sammy to the gym with you? Afraid I'm going to steal her from you, bro?" He never does. I know the guy for over a year but I couldn't pick his bloody wife in a line up.

What's going on? Isn't he a true gymbro? Does he think I'm racist (I suspect she's black because of the whole family fight stuff)? Should I subtly start pointing out how I'm totally not a racist?

C'mon guys, this whole thing is affecting my gym performance.

Anyone else have knee problems here and can't do basic lifts as squats and deadlifts?

2 years ago I got a knee trauma by tearing my meniscus. More than a year ago I had a surgery and started doing squats again only 3 months ago. After a few workouts I strained my back and had to give a pass for legs once again. Now this week I've started squatting and deadlifting once again and today something happened, because I feel pain in my other knee now. I've been doing RICE all day.

Is it possible that my joints are just 'not meant' for heavy lifts? Should I just give up doing any heavy training for my legs?

I'm not a DYEL and not just starting out, pretty much fit

I feel you OP, I get pain in this area just from squatting down near parallel without any weight, just like going to pick up something off the ground.

Deads, squats, cleans, most anything involving the knee is out for lifting.

I have to overstrain my hamstrings when going up the stairs usually because it feels painful to drive upwards with my quadriceps.

I attribute the injury to caving in my knees one day a long time ago on front squats, when I was a noob at a homegym.

First things first, make sure your form isn't garbage. Knee pain during lifting often means you're not using your glutes enough.

Secondly, knee pain is not likely to be because you have "bad knees" or they're not adequate for the lift. it's a problem with the muscles of the leg. Since you haven't given a lot of specifics, it's hard to even say what it would be. Probably either have tight muscles or an imbalance of strength. So, stretch, correct imbalances, and lift better.

/fit/ I read somewhere that nutrition during childhood can really help with not being a retard or a Manlet or a weakling in general, I have three younger brothers that mostly eat Pizza Hut, McDonald's etc because my mom works all the time and can't cook for shit

diet isnt as STRICT as most people think unless you are going on a stage to compete you can be pretty relaxed with it just make sure you space the alcohol away from the protein as much as possible

Can you be /fit/ and partake in drinking? Sure.
Can you be an ALCOHOLIC and be /fit/? Possibly, but unlikely.
It's not as much of an issue if you drink on weekends, but saying you're alcoholic implies that you drink heavily on weekdays as well, which would greatly hinder your body's ability to absorb protein, not to mention the difficulty you'll have getting yourself to lift properly while being shitfaced.
At the very least try to minimize your alcohol consumption, but I guess that's easier said than done if you really are an alcoholic.

Im joining the millitary so i am going to train for it (its in 1 and a half years).
Currently 59KG and 1.79m.
Is this schedule okay?
Im cycling from Monday-Friday 16 Km (per day)
Friday evening and sunday im running 3 km +(cant measure it exacly)
Saturday im lifting weights, for my arms. (Dumbbells etc.)
Im drinking proteine shakes every day 3x .
Any advice/tips?
Im not training for the muscles to be able to see(so im not really into getting my body fat below 10% etc.) i just want to be generally in better shape.
