sorry for /r9k/ tier post just wanted to remind you guys how lucky you are to have friends and family.
Sometimes I see people complaining about such petty things when they have friends and family to support them. It's the most precious thing so be thankful

So I take it you are a student at uni then?
All you have to do is to look around you, pick the saddest / weakest / most insecure looking guy / girl / alien and chat them up.
The best opening sentence is
>can I take a seat next to you?
and then you justBeeYourself
>league of legends
See, you have your first topic for conservation.

Yeah I'm a uni student mate, thanks I'll try to put your advice into practice next time.
I'm just afraid of rejection, but I think that fear will disappear when I talk to people more and more.

>technique is more important than being able to lift huge weights from ground
Really?
Now imagine that fight if the dude had any actual experience in hand to hand combat in any "school". He would rip even the master in half.
>>39706134
No, no he wouldn't. Strength only gets you so far when you don't actually know how to fight.
now let's pit Christiano Ronaldo and Andy Murray against each other in a tennis match

>>39705401
You're supposed to lift too bro
>>39705401
Lol enjoy your hair falling out
Going to start keto on Sunday. I'm on the high side of acceptable for my height.
Let's guess how much weight I'll lose in 30 days. I'll be aiming to eat < 1500 calories and burn, on average, >2000 calories everyday.
>>39705295
If you actually do that, then you'll lose 4 lbs + waterweight.
510 calorie deficit = 4 lbs a month.
Source: scooby calc
Anyways Keto is a joke, salt in excess is unhealthy, you feel like a fucking zombie, low carbs fucks up your lifts, you don't need keto to lose weight, etc etc.
Pic related is 2 months of weight loss eating mostly carbs following standard macros for bodybuilding. 20 pounds. 2 months. No keto. Didnt feel like shit.
Are you including your existence on those 2k cals?
>>39705341
Just want to try it for a month and then go back to eating normally. Something important happens in a month and I want to be as slim as possible for it. Then after that i'll go back to not giving a fuck.
So I started lifting seriously around may, at least I thought I did.
You see my lifting partner got me into it and basically told me to follow his lead since he knew his stuff. I had no reason not to believe him so I started doing 8 rep sets of babbyweight and alot of isolation. All the while I was cutting so I made pretty much 0 gains.
If I start doing SS soon and eating alot will I still progress well or have I fucked myself?
Thanks
Shameless self bump
Please don't let this thread die lads
>>39705284
>begins lifting
>cuts
Niggerwhut? You need to gain mass, so that means that you have to eat alot
>>39705284
What's your height/weight my man? Are you trying to cut fat or are you trying to get big?
Is there a scientifically backed up article about why it is best to consume protein shake up to an hour after workout?
Or is this just broscience bs
Bamp
Protein shakes all together are broscience memes started by supp companies.
Every person who actually looks like they lift just eats food.
>>39705282
It literally does fucking matter either way. And no.
Hey /fit/
I don't really know where else to ask this but thought this would be my best bet.
My friend has been going to muay thai classes for a little over a month and wants to do it professional. He is 25, somewhat fit despite heavy drinking and smoking and drug use and has had no previous physical pastime besides gymnastics when he was younger.
I think he has no chance of reaching champion levels but don't wanna shit on his fantasy, opinions?
>>39705234
He might not become a champ, but he definitely could become a professional fighter. There have been a few guys who started even later with shit like boxing and went on to become world reknowned fighters.
As long as you aren't CM Punk tier, you'll probably be good
I just started training and I'm 21. Going to wait at least 7 years before thinking about pro
Anyone can become a competent professional at anything really. When it comes to pro athletes though you need a lot of passion and talent to make it. If he's in the 1% He could be fighting in a few years but it's kind of like like picking up a basketball and saying I'm going to be in the NBA. It's not necessarily a realistic goal. Fighting is a lot different but he should temper his expectations.
is this a good starter set? if not what is missing or what could be replaced?

Is joining the military worth it? (U.S. military)
Is life easier outside or inside the military? Want to know from someone who's been in the military and has experience.
>>39705138
In the military (assuming Army or Marine) you will hate your life in garrison. On deployment you will love it and then hate it towards the end. Once you are back you will hate it again. When you are out, you will want nothing more than to be back in.
Join combat arms or kill yourself pussy.
>>39705138
>Is joining the military worth it? (U.S. military)
Ohh yessa it's very very worth it.
>>39705152
This mostly. Word for word what I would say except I'm out and don't really wish I was back in. Seriously though you ain't infantry, you ain't shit.
Can we discuss Candito's Six Week Program?
