I've been doing cardio every day and average around 1300 calories per day. Doesn't that seem right for weight loss?

Why wouldn't you just eat at the end of the day? Just drink a super low calorie pre-workout (or black coffee) in the mornings to get you up and movin. Especially when on a cut.

I'm 6'3 but I can honestly say that height doesn't matter. I didn't get laid until I worked on my confidence and social skills. Someone in the 5'8 range can pull the same chicks I do if he just does the same

Even then you still need to put in the work. I still have to talk to girls regularly to even get laid weekly

Personally I'm doing GSLP and it recommends doing the "frequency method" with pull-ups: just doing 4-5 sets of about 60-70% of your max reps, spread out through the day, every single day.

It works. I'm dyel as fuck and barely bench lmao1pl but I can do 10 pulls-up no problem. 3 months ago I couldn't do 1. My rows and other back-excercises have not suffered at all, and I'm making better progress than bench actually...

Getting a serious nerve impingement when I deadlift and squat, when my shoulder blades depress "back pocket" I get a serious numbness shooting down my right arm. I can replace squats temporarily until my ortho appointment (which won't be for another two weeks), but what can I replace deadlifts with? I was going to just deload, but after today it was so bad I seriously need to flat out fucking replace it. I still want to work my lower back though, even if it's not the same movement.

Pls respond.

(also get minor pinching when I bench if I pinch my scapula hard enough, but it hasn't been nearly as bad an issue.)

Dont put your shoulderbladesin your "back pocket " when deadlifting and squatting. YOure only suppose to do that during the bench press. And with the deadlift it helps as it gets your shoulder clsoer to your hips, reducing the leverage. But its not important.

Just keep it tight.

You dont need to pnch your scapulare intensly during the bench. Just get it a bit together and keep it tight/tense.

Youre taking a cue ment for some people way too serious. The most important part is to get the muscle tense and tight.

retracting and depressing the scapula is literally the right form for deadlifting. It's what you're supposed to do, almost flexing your lats to keep your lower back straight. You don't depress your scapula during bench, just pinch like there's a pencil in between them. Though, you don't have to pinch TOO hard if it causes numbness, just make sure they're together and you aren't rounding shoulders or anything.

For squatting, just grabbing the bar and having weight on it will depress the scapula some, which will cause that pinching.

Went to the gym for the first time ever yesterday. Felt fucking amazing, going again tomorrow.

But, I did bench press for the first time using just the empty bar and realized that my right arm is way weaker than my left (I'm left handed). I kept letting the bar tilt the the right and I also kept hitting the part of the rack that the weight rests on when I'd go up/down. I'm fucking weak but especially unilaterally on the right side.
Is this normal for a newbie?
Do I need to do something with my right arm specifically to get it up to snuff before I continue benching (with just the bar)?

I know I'm a fuckin' fag and I'm going to write this like a retard, but here's info that may or may not affect advice
Stats:

>120lb
>grill
>Bench 3x8, empty bar
>Bicep curls, 3x10, 10lb weight
>Chest flies 3x8, 7.5lb weight
>Eccentric bicep motion (lower the weight slowly, pick it back up with both hands, repeat) 3x3, 20lb weight
>Dumbell behind head extentions, 3x8, 10lb
And then some body weight planks and 15 minutes high intensity cardio with an instructor.

I just wanna get strong, and a little muscular. What does /fit/ think?
