So I keep seeing these bodybuilder vs mma fighter videos on youtube, should I give into the meme and build myself for fighting, leanness, mad bodyweight skills or does none of this actually matter in society? Is it all really just about size when it comes to confidence and respect from your counterparts? Will my muscle be meaningless if I do purely ICF 5x5 with some cardio thrown in? I'm asking this because I'm stuck in a loop where I'm not sure what to train for and I'm not actually succeeding in any one specific thing, please help me anonbi wan, you're my only hope

I'm creating this thread to gain basic online feedback on if creating an athletic apparel company is wise.

I've recently retired after serving 16 years in the Canadian Army as an infantry soldier and I'm looking to start up my own small business. Fitness and being in the gym is my passion and I strongly believe that people should have the clothing materials to make them stand out, feel good about themselves and give them great mobility while doing movements. My business plan and concept for this would be to start off small and gradually slowly grow over the years. I believe in quality products especially ones that do well against different weather climates (relating to my military experience). I would promote my business through social media and try to sell my clothing to law enforcement professionals, friends, family and other civilians interested.

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Good question and good point.

I may not be able to get the best manufacturer price but I would attempt to find a middle ground manufacturer. Something that's no to low or high on price because I believe in great quality. I may even have to travel to find and meet a good manufacturer. But I believe that's not where my business will excel in, it would be the quality of the product. May be a little pricey on my end but it may be worth it.

Social media is arguably essential for small business success IMO. If you're starting from scratch, Establish the brand, and start up the Insta/Facebook right away. Make sure to think hard on the name. It can't be something stupid. Gymshark is overpriced and mediocre quality but people flock to it because its huge, and it's huge because it has a cool logo and a cool name. Same with Rise who actually make good shit, And "AANDRA ATHLETICS" which was started in my city and now has a few thousand followers on IG and a gaggle of DYEL but loyal following in general.
I dont have any degrees in business by the way, but I think that's pretty okay advice.

Yep, I play basketball, I used to be pretty good but I was very overweight and out of shape, so it held me back. Now I'm one of the better basketball players at my university, it's helped so much it's ridiculous. I'm so happy I started lifting. I can dunk now too which is very nice

So here is the deal. I've doing a combo of cardio+lifting+diet(Low in everything , 2400kcal per day ) for the last 7 months. Went down from 140kg to 95kg(I'm 1,94cm) until december BUT I can't loose any more weight now, no matter how fuckin hard I train I just stoped loosing weight since december. Did I just hitted my fucking limit? Should I start bulking now? I don't know what the fuck is going on. Here is a pic of my progress from July to December

what's your cardio/lifting routine like? what's your diet like? how often (if ever) do you have cheat meals/days?

are you SURE that you're counting your calories correctly? how do you count your calories? lots of people use calorie counters kind of willy nilly and don't really check shit out as well as they should.

you've made pretty damn good progress so far but if you're not losing any more weight there's something going on that we need to figure out.

When you stall or weight loss starts to slow you're supposed to lower your calories by about 200, see what happens after a week and lower even further from there.

I wouldn't go lower then about 1800cal though and you shouldn't eat that low for too long.

I have heard Cayanne Pepper is good for the lungs desu, some research on Lung Cancer as well. As with all thing however, incorperating it naturally into your diet is better than supplements.

Plus stuff like cayanne and garlic can go with 70% of what you eat. Eat fish instead of fish oil, that type of concept.
