How do you maintain a beard?
I've been trying to grow one since forever but it gets crazy itchy by week 2 and I shave it.

Let it grow for a few weeks and see what you have to work with. If it's patchy, doesn't connect, is a neckbeard, vel sim, then shave it.

Decide the length you want. Once you figure it out then trim your beard to that level.

If you will be sporting a beard longer than stubble I recommend shaping it. It will take a few tries to start getting it looking clean and symmetrical. Things to do in a shape:
1. Trim out a line on your cheeks.
2. Trim a line on your neck. Shave everything below it. Ideally you want beard on your face but not your neck. Don't cut it too high, or the naked underside of your mouth will hang low, and you might look fat.
3. Trim the line between your ear and sideburn on down for each side. I like to do a clean, straight line down all the way from the sideburn.
4. Clean up stray hairs - below your neckline, above your cheek lines, etc.
5. If you don't have a super long beard, make sure the hair from your mustache doesn't cover or fall too much in your lips, that looks bad.

Consider using shampoo/conditioner instead of just soap if you're past a certain length.

Bros who are getting TRT from your doctor, help me out a bit

I recently went to the doctor and had a serum test done, and scored 261 ng/dL. Now my doctor is referring me to an endocrinologist and wants more tests done to see why my testosterone is low instead of just treating it.

I told him about all the low-T related symptoms I have like gyno, anxiety/depression, trouble concentrating, and low sex drive and he told me to see a psychiatrist.

Did you guys have to deal with crap like this before getting put on TRT? Should I just ride this out, or start searching for a new doctor?

Buddy if you are planning on TRT your Doc will probably put you on some 250mg or less test e cycle. It's not worth all the trouble. Just pick up some test e and run 500mg weekly for 10-15 weeks while taking arimidex (or any other AI) so you don't go gyno.

I made the same mistake going on a TRT instead of skipping the doctor's bullshit. If you don't want to get test not through legal measures, then try going to another doctor. In my case, my Cardiologist prescribed me TRT due to my high cholesterol and wasn't at all reluctant to give me my test.

Your doctor is a retard OP, go see a Urologist who specializes in this stuff ASAP.

hi /fit/, started SS 4 months ago, never lifted before then. i was a 23 y/o 5'8 skellington dyel with a 6/10 face. and khv

last month i lost my khv to my current and first gf. she is an 8/10 by /soc/ standards. please dont think im boasting - im hoping this will inspire any of you lurkers who have a defeatist mentality and think it isnt worth the effort. earlier she just told me that im fitter than most of her skellington exes. im extremely dyel by /fit/ standards, but SS metaphorically saved my life. thanks to rippetoe and all the fitizens who kept telling me to eat more when i was stalling even though i insisted i was way over my TDEE already (i wasnt)

Hey /fit/ can you give me advice with the squat.

I have started doing back squats (115 pounds) but have been having low back pain, and as you can see here my back shifts a lot. I am thinking of switching to front squats, but they look just as horrendous. Any pointers? And obviously, Im just using the broom to practice.
