There is no money in the fitness industry as a personal trainer or gym employee in Germany. Ausbildung is bullshit, believe me I have friends who did it and I talked to countless employees of gyms giving some dangerous advice. Guess how much a gym pays you? Also most gyms I know hire a few Auszubildende and at the end of their training/education they don't get hired because they are too expensive. You just hire new Auszubildende. Personal training is a really small market in Germany. It is not like Hollywood where you get paid to jump around with some old rich cougar. Everyone can get a workout plan or meal plan online.

I'm poor. All I have are these old adjustable dumbbells plus a bench. I want to get stronger. Can I use standard barbell strength routines with this set up?

Like StrongLifts, and then Texas method or something - but just using dumbbells. I think they can reach 40kg per dumbbell? Pls help. Really want to get strong

a scare where i thought i was having a heart attack
turned out i tore something in my chest when trying to get on a trampoline backwards (hands out behind me) but i was drunk and stoned so i slipped but still held onto the trampoline, and completely forgot about it until a few days after the chest pain
before then i just weightlifted as a hobby, got up to 205 max in grade 11, but since then ive been obsessed with losing weight since the chest pain

There is a debate around the perceived toxicity of red meat and bacon. Regrettably few researchers get the point that you need to include frequency of intake in the testing rather than just the average intake (a point belabored in Antifragile). Everything nonlinear depends on second order effects. How often matters much more than how much.
Populations in history have tended to eat meat irregularly ( the Greek ate meat only on sacrifice days) but like lions and other hunters/carnivores they gorge on it during these episodes. Orthodox Christians are vegan around 200 days a year, but they feast on fatty meat during feast days.
Having taken a look at the paper I can safely say that the authors missed the point. The report is based on statistical confounders.
Incidentally Monsanto missed the point with the crops that are genetically engineered to produce their own pesticides. As these crops release the pesticides continously, rather than by bursts, they are effective enough to represent a risk to your health, but not enough to harm the pests.

Anyone have direct experience with this or know someone who has?

What are the pros & cons? I'm talking purely in terms of the tradeoff of less time energy & attention spent on making food, all else held constant - aka, if I were to replace one 400kcal solid food meal a day with a single 400kcal soylent shake, with identical macros.

My girlfriend has been replacing 2-3 meals/day with it for 4ish months because she hates spending time to cook. She's fine.

However, I have friends in medicine/dieticians that say that we still don't know too much about absorption rates and tendencies. Seems to work just fine, but I would still eat real food at least once a day.

Having a hard time getting 4000kcal+ with my tiny babby-stomach

Here's my favourite oat-pancake recipe
Blend inbetween adding ingredients

>100g+ oatz
>4 whole eggs
>1 big banana
>a dash of milk or foodcream

spread nutella on the bancakes for max calories, if not jellys are goat, obviously

You can add brotein powder, but that shit makes them really dry.
This amount of ingredients makes enough batter for 1-2 big pancakes or 3-4 smaller ones.

I've been working out for almost a year now, and my arms (both biceps and triceps) have grown noticeably bigger. However, I don't seem get 'aethestic'/'chiseled' features in my arms. They just stay bulky (and fat?) like in pic related. They only look nice when I flex.

I dont seem to have this problem with my other muscles (pecs, abs, legs, ...). It's just my arms.

I'm not fat either (9-10% body fat), but for some reason all my fat seems to be stored in my arms.

What should I do to get more aesthetically looking arms? Do cardio? Try different exercices? Please help me /fit/.

PS: pic related are not my arms, but mine look very similar.

tbqh if your arms look like that you're WAY ahead of the general population.

That being said, one of the reasons may be because you haven't mixed up your exercises and you may need to cut a little more (I know you're <10%) to make them pop. Also try some diet mods, too.

I cut from 250 to 163 in a little bit over a year. When I started IF it was the first time I actually saw results from doing something as simple as changing the time of day that I would eat. The weight loss from not being able to stuff my fat ass with so much food made me more motivated to do research and start going to the gym.

I still do IF, but a less extreme meal window. Instead of the Warrior Diet styled 23 and 1, I do more like an 18 and 6, or 20 and 4.

Overall, 10/10 changed my life. I wouldn't recommend for a small handful of people, but chances are if you can't commit to it you are just short sighted and weak willed.

hi /fit, i have been lurking as an anon for years. You have all helped me with my weight loss success and i am giving back to the community.
I am a successful writer, you probably have read or at least heard of a book of mine. I have kept an extensive macro log and entertaining journal of an authentic and no bullshit account of my journey from land whale to single digit bf. I pitched it to my publisher and unfortunately I have a back log of books waiting for print so this would take 6+ years to get out.
I know in my earliest stages I yearned for something like this, as men (and the few women on fit) we all relate to wanting to lose weight but we don't relate to the speed at which it is portrayed. Weight loss success stories spanning years are condensed to merely a paragraph with a lack of detail.
I am not a health expert and what I did wont work for everyone, but it at least demonstrates a full length and in depth evaluation of programs, workouts, diets, and visceral effects on day to day life. It also has great pictures and the rough draft has been described as "wildly and inappropriately entertaining"
It will be published on amazon as an ebook under a false name other than my own. Sadly it requires a price for my anonymity or else amazon wont print, otherwise it would be free. Currently negotiating it to be only a 1$, so I'll see where it ends up. That gives me 1-10 cents a copy so hopefully that demonstrates to you I'm not doing it for the money. Since it is on the table in the real world I can no longer upload it as massive pdf dump for free, but that shit is unorganized and more people can get to it on amazon than /fit, we are a special bunch.

Thanks for reading, hopefully it will go up by this summer or fall. If your a fatty and this excites you have faith, if your already cut be proud of yourself and help others.
