>Have a good day!!! :)
What do I say to this? Does she expect a reply?
>>40536231
>You only said that because I tipped you :(
>>40536231
"y-you to"
>>40536231
>Does she expect a reply?
nothing more than a nod wave and smile combo
Has anyone here ever dropped flat bench completely, or for a couple of months, and just focused on incline/dumbell type stuff instead?
>>40536224
No, because i participate in varsity football where i need to lift in order to improve my athletic ability instead of lifting just to get 0.005 cm increase in my chest which will go away if i forgot to workout a week.
>>40536224
Yep. But then I corrected my technique and haven't stopped benching in three years. Bench is life.
>>40536224
yeh its called conjugate periodization and rotating special exercises. it works but only if you choose the right movements and progressively overload them at a fast rate. like what alphadestiny and eric bugenhagen does
Okay guys, I really could use some suggestions for wireless headphones. One more interrupted set because of earbuds getting torn out by the cable and I'll end myself.
Currently looking at plantronics backbeat fit - are they worth the money?
ps Jaybirds and beats are too expensive for my cheap ass
>>40536205
accidentally bought a pair of aukey EP-B4s and they sound pretty good
>>40536308
How is the fit? Do they stay on during snatches / jerks?
>>40536205
I have the Plantronics back eat and they are very good. You should get a third party earbud to put on them though because they come with some shitty silicone tip.
Don't go cheap on the earbuds. Get some quality foam.
These have a little loop that fits inside the earlobe and I have never had them come out.
I'm starting BJJ on Wednesday but I'm currently training Stronglifts for the past month. Should I lift before I train BJJ or after? Do you guys take any supplements? Also which muscles are most used in BJJ?
I do Submission Wrestling and I usually lift after
It's a really intense workout for your entire body, but upper body takes the most
Find someone slightly better than you to train with
Not so good that they always rek you, just slightly better
>>40536182
Can you make significant gains from training after? Aren't you too tired?
>>40536176
I'd say not to worry too much as you will be doing mostly technique but you should treat BJJ as cardio
>Ooga booga, kill whitey
>>40536074
are they natty?
>>40536101
>Ooga boogey, I eat da white man pussy fo' protein nigga
>>40536074
They've got white souls, clown.
ITT: discuss martial arts, give rundowns of what you've trained etc.
I want to start training something but I have trouble choosing. I don't care purely about the effectiveness, so I don't find boxing or krav maga appealing.
I was thinking about taking up taekwondo to hopefully increase my flexibility and mobility, which is currently shit. What do you think?
>>40535989
I know a guy who is medium height and has always been quite lean and he got really into TKD and got his black belt in about 4 or 5 years. He can do lots of head high kicks and spinning back kicks and all that sort of shit. So it's quite good for what you want, but he also does bjj for that ground game.
>>40536037
I'm not lean though, I've always been rather bulky, so I figured I could use something to increase my mobility.
I wonder thought if taekwondo is effective at all? Would someone training tkd for, let's say 5 years, stand a chance against someone with simmilar experience but in karate, aikido, boxing or whatever?
>>40536075
Does the bulk hold back your mobility? If so cardio and stretching is going to assist you in getting those head high kicks.
From what I've been told, TKD isn't shit hot in an actual fight. You're not always going to have space to use big head high kicks and if you fuck it up you're leaving yourself in a very vulnerable position.
Karate, if it's the full contact sort and not mcdojo shit, is supposed to be pretty good. Boxing is very good for fitness and actual fighting. Kickboxing will give you effective kicks and punches as well as knees and elbows if you take up the thai style.
Aikido from everything I've ever heard is absolutely fucking bad. Avoid
Hi /fit/, do I exercise before or after eating?

Are you trying to ask what should you do?

Hello /fit/.
Tell me about the freaks that go to your gym.
I think most gyms probably have a few.
My gym is probably 80% freaks, 20% depressed.
I'll start with one of my own, the "big baby"
>Mid 40s
>Covered in dumb tattoos
>No matter how much he tries his enormous head and beet-red baby face will always be too big for his body
>Runs around the gym asking everyone if he can "work in"
>Always does one set of weights he can't handle and slams them down after two reps
>Once screamed at a guy for not wiping something down before the guy even left the machine
The schizoid
>~50 years old
>Enormous shoulders
>Jeans and XXXXXL t-shirt
>Yoga in the smith machine
>1 million heavy rack pulls
>Constantly swearing to himself and twitching
>Swearing intensifies with proximity or eye contact
Amy Schumer
>Obese 5'6'' 'powerlifter'
>Has all the barbie accessories- belt chalk ammonia salts high heels and haircut
>Loudly talks about how much he loves dbol and preworkout
>Will ask you how many sets you have left 5000 times until you get sick of him twitching behind you waiting
>Has a heart attack while bench pressing
How do I get arms like this
Be black

Curl in the squat rack
why do women do this to their spines?
It makes their ass and chest stick out more obviously.
They're flexible...
>>40535870
Gotta show off the assets
Her personality didn't get her on tge boat m8
What's a good routine to increase my social gains?
I seem to get a long with most people I meet or work with but I miss out on making "deeper" connections and small talk is still horrible for me.
Pic related.
>>40535813
Did you read that book or...
>>40535813
just be human.
>>40535820
I'm about to.
What type, color and fabric of clothes do you wear to not look like this at the gym?
>>40535794
Oh boy, another retard learned how to start threads.
Basketball shorts (sweatpants if I'm diddlying)
Older free t shirts sports teams give out
Chucks
>>40535817
>basketball shorts
Alright /fit/ thinking about doing some dancin. Seems like a chill way to make some extra social gains.
What are some basic / beginner things I should learn to be able to dance pretty well to most songs?
>>40535781
Go to a Zumba class. Gotta keep it /fit/.
>>40535793
This is /fit/, dancing is cardio
But if I'm gonna get banned for this post I might as well sprinkle in a bogpost
Just go to a rap concert and jump around and point

/thread
>>40535682
Next time, do two
More chin ups
Do one every couple hours = a few per day
Repeat a few days later at 2x every few hours = a few more per day
Repeat until desired amount is possible in one set
