Hey /fit/ I've been doing this exercise routine for the past few days and I was wondering if you guys think it would actually work. So I have a pool in my backyard that is 14 feet across and 32 inches deep. Every morning when I wake up and every night before bed I run 5 laps around the pool (yes, run) and i do this 5 or more times with a 1-2 minute break in between sets. If I do this every day for the rest of the summer will I become /fit/? Pic related, it's the model of pool I have.
It could help you burn calories, but to be /fit/ by any standard you're better off getting a gym membership and lifting.

Btw, 2xpix14=88 (rounded up) for the circumfrence of the pool, times 5 is 440. So you're running 440 ft twice a day, or 880 ft every day. There's something like 5,280 ft in a mile. So you'd be running about 16% of a SINGLE mile every day. Not even a full fucking mile. Not even half a fucking mile. Not even a QUARTER of a fucking mile. 16 fucking percent of one single fucking mile. And you think doing this every day will get you fit in the next two months. You think it will somehow magically dissipate over 100 lbs from your disgusting body and give you muscles and make you attractive.

I can't remember where I read this, but apparently Michael Dorn's voice as "Worf" in Star Trek TNG got lower the more often he practiced it.
When I use my "Dad voice" I expand my throat (neck muscles), and loosen my mouth (like your mouth is closed and your blowing air to puff out your cheeks...only don't hold your breath). Open mouth, airways, throat (as though you were going to enter a hot-dog eating contest and eat them whole). Relax, tension, like a tightly pulled rubber band, makes a higher pitched sound, so slow down. Be calm. Do this in private so nerves are less of an issue. Listen to James Earl Jones, Michael Dorn, and any other bassy voice actors. Copy them. Even if it sounds like a pathetic attempt. Maybe a few times a day. Maybe for a few minutes a day. Maybe whenever you can. First thing in the morning, your airways are most relaxed (I would love to source this outside personal experience), so I'm 'bassiest' in the morning (when you first wake up). Practice then if you can.
I'm by no means a professional, and any of what I list here may not work for you. It has worked for me though.
