Anyone here knows anything about nutrition?
>I'm really fat
>I have been cutting on my sugar and carbs a lot lately
>Also started going on long walks
Today I woke up and went for a walk on an empty stomach, came home two hours later and had a few apricots as breakfast and a can of coke as a reward
Since it was already lunchtime after I took a shower I skipped on it, I started getting really mad at everything then I felt starvation, I stuffed myself with everything I could get my hands on but the feeling wouldn't get away then I got a headache and now I feel really sick
MUH CARBS MUH SUGAR UHRR DURR
OMG I ATE 2 AND A HALF BOILED POTATOES LAST YEAR THATS WHY IM FAT, ITS NOT BECAUSE OF YEARS OF BURGERS, CHOCOLATE, PIZZA, DORITOS, KFC, DONUTS, FRENCH FRIES, ITS BECAUSE I ATE A HALF PACK OF BLUEBERRIES LAST FEBRUARY AND THEN A BANANA IN JUNE AND POSSIBLY A HALF BOWL OF RICE OH SHIT BETTER EAT NOTHING BUT FAT BECAUSE IM FAT THIS MAKES SENSE BECAUSE IM FAT, ITS WELL KNOWN THAT PEOPLE IN AFRICA AND ASIA ARE SLIM BECAUSE THEY EAT NOTHING BUT BUTTER AND EGGS, RICE ISNT EVEN SOLD
eat more protein and quit starving yourself
bingeing is very bad
Food is a drug, causes dopamine to be released. Its withdrawal. The starvation and anger is because you were hungry. You need more self control. Next time dont skip lunch, have a light snack and a large glass of water. Work on the anger management and the will power to not binge.

it filters bad shit from the body
but, love me some liverwurst
not sure how much actual liver the kind I buy has, though
>Love chicken liver, chicken heart, chicken gizzard
>They all cost the same
It's a tough choice.
I've only ever eaten venison liver
So I have roughly 15lbs. of White Onions because my friends are cheeky cunts
how should I use them all before they spoil?

three lots of this and you're done
>>8361160
Thanks anon, that looks really good.
>>8361154
onions dont' go bad fast, you could probably use one onion a day or two and be fine.
I'm shipping a box to England tomorrow, and there's enough room to add something extra. I was thinking a candy bar or something like that. I'm shipping from California.
What's something good that can't easily get in the UK?
ABBA ZABBA
>>8368471
That's like sending whiskey to Scotland or rice to Pakistan
Big Hunk, or, you know, some regional California chocolate/candy from your local high end market.
I've been trying to cut back on my alcohol consumption and I've found the easiest thing to do is replace it with another beverage.
Milk has worked great, and is cheap to boot, but unfortunately I'm going through a gallon every two days, which is basically the same amount of calories in the 96oz of beer I was clearing out every day. Skim is basically no better and tastes like shit, so that's not really useful either.
I tried tea for awhile but having to drink it before it cooled off was annoying
>>8368361
have you tried water?
>>8368365
No, that never occurred to me.
Yes I've tried it, you trashcan. It doesn't do whatever milk or fruit juice do for whatever reason and I end up sucking down booze.
>>8368361
every time you want a drink, splash some Tabasco sauce in your mouth, or your preferred brand of mild hot sauce.
I'm making breaded chicken for dinner, but i have an egg intolerance so I can't use eggs, would vegetable oil work instead as a good substitute?
No; that would have the opposite effect.
>>8368149
Make a slurry of flour and water and use that.
>>8368149
Buttermilk. Or just milk.
You need protein to bind the flour to the meat.
.. did you KNOW that there is natural healthy candy that God created and you can just pick off motherfucking trees? I just discovered this shit, you gotta get in on it!
Grills don't grow on trees, OP.
ya but it tastes like shit cuz it comes from half way across the world and its 2 weeks old by the time we get it and its mass produced with no nutrients and theyre not in season
so nobody really knows how good a in season fresh fruit really is
There are some damn good mandarin oranges that grow around here. Sacramento area in California. God damn. It's better than candy. Grabbed some off a tree on my way back from the post office earlier. Fuck yeah.
How does /ck/ feel about different fruit juices. Ex.Orange, apple, grape
I drink them as a pop alternative and I don't actually know if it's definitely "healthy"
>>8367986
>pop
Most of them aren't healthy. Look for the ones with no added sugar/HFCS that are as close to having only fruit juice (not cencentrate) in them as possible.
OJ with pulp is my jam.
its not healthy because its pasteurized in the bottle and it sits on the shelf for so long
get a juicer and juice your own shit and then its healthy and u get the benefits
and if u just want something as simple as orange juice u can get a really simple citrus juicer for cheap
>>8367996
I get pic on original post and it says on the ingredients water, Orange juice, and vitamin c so I guess I chose right when buying at least
I accidentally bought a gallon of distilled water instead of spring water. If I drink it will leech out all of my internal minerals and kill me?
>>8367908
Yes, it will leach out all of your chemicals too.
It may taste flat compared to your regular spring water.. But that's just the chemicals leaching out of you.
>>8367908
I only drink distilled water because it gets all of the fluoride out of your system.
Hey, did an AMA here the other week and it was great to see the amount of legit questions being asked.
How many bartenders here browse /ck/? And what kind of bar do you work in? I'm currently at a medium-sized independent hotel with a full restaurant and a fairly solid bar program. They want all the bartenders to be BarSmarts certified, which I already was from my previous job as a barback and cocktail server. The owners allow us a fair amount of free reign, so I'm trying to bring in some Mezcal. Since I work Sundays I want to make the Gordon's Breakfast and Oaxacan Breakfast the drink special since I served the former this past Sunday with a fair amount of success.
Anyway, stories? Favorite drinks? Shit you absolutely hate?
God you're a faggot
>>8367816
Bartending is not cooking related and your thread is dumb. Please leave.
>>8367816
Say I have half a bottle of white wine, some gin and some orange juice. How should I mix it?
I've recently started cooking a lot of stuff and I'm looking to buy a new kitchen knife, I've looked up some expensive stuff and I'm not quite sure.
Have you guys got any suggestions?

IS GEORGIAN CUISINE A REAL THING
I NEVER HEARD OF GEORGIA UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO
When getting a glass of water from tap..
Do you first fill glass up and throw it out ( I do)
Just let water pour in or raise glass then lower it for whatever reason (i do)
No I live in a civilized country where tap water is one of the most checked product.
>>8367204
Personally, when I drink water I don't and drink beer instead.
>>8367208
I do to.
You seem to be missing the point, son...try again.
i..l

Christmas Dinner
What's a typical Christmas dinner in your families /ck/?
I'm the one doing it this year, a little spooked it's a lot of pressure and I've not done it before, I'd love to hear what you usually sit down with your family to eat on Christmas. Pics would be great. Mines just stolen from the national food authority.
In my family it's usually, brussel sprouts, carrots, peas, roast parsnips, roast turkey, ham, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, potato croquettes and mashed turnip.
For breakfast we have steak sandwiches because fuck it it's Christmas
>>8367141
>>8367141
About the fifth or sixth year ofmaking it. Turkey, gravy, stuffing, roast potatoes, minted peas, buttered carrots, cabbage with bacon and roast parsnips.
My folks already bought a giant ham.
No idea what else is gonna be served with it.
We do turkey in out family, (I'm not sure if its the norm in Britain), the meals this year with so many coming round is looking like this-
Breakfast
Scrambled eggs on toast, bacon rolls or apple cinnamon pancakes.
Main meal with rest of family
-Appetizer, melon boats with assorted fruit or smoked salmon with salad.
-Main, Meats are gonna be turkey, ham, stuffing and bacon wrapped mini sausages. Vegetables, carrots, roast potatoes, red cabbage with apple, sprouts and mashed potatoes, maybe parsnips. Cranberry sauce and gravy provided.
-Deserts just really what we have on hand, usually everyone's too full to bother with it.
>>8367141
Yorkshire puddings good with turkey?
