Has anyone tried using baked chicken with this?
>>8461311
no.not a single person

Childhood is when you idolize Shin Ramyun, Adulthood is when you realize Mi Goring makes more sense.

Baked, no. There's probably better stuff to use baked chicken for. Like quesadillas or something.
When I have left over chicken from a rotisserie, I pull them into thinner strands and put them into the soup. Pretty good absorption and they usually get tangled in with the noodles as you eat them.
Also put in a raw egg while cooking and stir it around a bit (not too much) to get something like egg drop soup. And if I have it on hand, I usually put some fresh scallions. A little bit of sambal oelek if I find I put too much chicken in.
Yeah, I eat it every couple of weeks. Cheap, but I find it pretty tasty.
I don't really know if this is the place to ask this, but I ordered a burguer and I think it might've been rotten, the inside had a really red color and it had a really strong sour taste when I tasted it, was it rotten or way too rare, am I going to get diseases I only ate like two bites
> burguer
no,no.

Poor thing. 2 bites or 1/4 bites when you're dealing with bacteria cultures, there's no difference.
Don't forget, 3 oz of botulism toxin is enough to destroy every human on earth.

ITT: Food promotions that should make a comeback.
>>8461080
Comeback? Why would they ever stop having these? They are clearly the best possible thing.

I like how the packaging makes the fries look like his hair.
>>8461776
That's the point you fucking idiot wow you're so genious ..
Do you have a side-food? The snack you only eat in secret because you're ashamed of it?
>>8460899
Not really. I mean, when I'm completely alone, I can take down a whole pizza sometimes, but around people I slow it down and eat less.
I won't eat tinned fish when I know my roommates are going to be home soon, because they think it's disgusting.
>>8460899
I do not have any shame when it comes to what I eat. I do enjoy some really trashy stuff (chili dogs, for example), so I just make it a point to only indulge in that kind of thing once in a long while. I have no problem eating a pretty healthy diet most of the time, so occasional indulgences don't really have any shame attached to them.
>>8460899
My boogers.
I find these noodles very tasty but I wish they were less spicy. The character on some packages is very cute, a cute little chicken.
Is there noodles that taste like these noodles but without the capsaicin powder or whatever they use to make it super extra hot? I don't mind spicy foods, but I'd prefer it to be less spicy
Just use double the water, you sperg
>>8460723
That. Or use less than the whole packet of seasoing.
>The character on the package is very cute, a cute little chicken
Is this relevant
Mexican scallops are absolutely disgusting.
Tough and stringy and made me piss out my ass all day today .
Do not eat seafood bought from mexicans on the beach:(
I eat lobster, oysters, shrimp and octopus once or twice a year on the beaches of rosarito once a or twice a year and it's never been an issue my whole life. Some of my favorite memories are of my family and I in Ensenada. I'm sorry about your experience though. I hope this won't deter you from visiting in the future
>>8460574
Never had an issue on the Pacific side, and vacation in Ixtapa-Zihuatenejo every couple years. Zihuatnejo has restaurants that serve top quality seafood prepared in authentic Pacific Coastal methods for very reasonable prices that I always eat. The best shrimp tacos I ever had were from there.
Hey /ck/, I'm about to move back into my dorm and need to go grocery shopping. I've surprisingly lost weight for the first time since middle school (been 135 sine 8th grade, now I'm 133) and want to start gaining weight and putting on more muscle. I'm not here to ask /fit/ questions, so I'll stop there.
What are some good foods and recipies to look into? I have a soft spot for chicken and am trying to get better at breading it, but I want to work with pasta and rice more. Broccoli and chili are things I'd like to work with more as well, and I'd go for salmon if it's cheap enough.
Also, what are some good recipes for baked mac and cheese? I want to cook for a few friends (for a late friendsgiving thing) and want to try making it. I'm also thinking about doing a cheesecake for dinner.
I'm sorry for yet another college post, but I thank you all in advance.

Dude's voice can take getting used to, but the recipes are easy to follow along with. There's a lot of basic techniques he teaches, and can make you a better cook.
>I've surprisingly lost weight for the first time since middle school (been 135 sine 8th grade, now I'm 133)
jesus fuck
i gained 15 lb over the summer to 165 and lost about 10 lb so far, maybe as much as 15 by now and km expecting to lose 20 lb by the fime spring rolls around since winter does this to me.
and you're making a big fuss about 2 lb!
>>8460238
>chicken
>pasta
>Broccoli
there's you answer, right there. those three ingredients in a casserole work great together. add a cup of cream. sure, calorie dense, but adds flavor and doesn't add that much in a big dish that you can stretch for two meals. is low fat cheese a thing where you're from? add that, too. great combination of most nutrients you'll need. just add a good amount of freshly ground pepper so it tastes like something
Gas vs Electricity
What do you prefer to cook on, /ck/?
gas>electric coil>>>>>>>>>>>>smooth top electric>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>electric induction

Gas. How is this even a question?
>>8460198

why does all of europe do this in their appartments?
I got an unexpected bonus with this month's salary, but the catch is that it came as $700 giftcard which I can use in a superstore
I was thinking about furnishing my kitchen, but I wonder what could I get that would be really useful/cool
I'm currently thinking about a slow cooker and a hand blender (the ones that come with several attachments would cover several bases)
however, there's still some money left after those two purchases... what would you recommend to get with the free dosh?
btw, I already have a blender, so...
Toaster oven perhaps?
>>8460197
>I already have a blender
What kind? If it's not a commercial type like a Vitamix or a Blendtec then upgrading to one of those would be well worth it.
>>8460210
hmm, interesting
I'm not sure if they actually have those but I sure will check them out
How safe is the street food in places across greater Southeast Asia?
Anyone ever had experience with vendors from India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam etc. please feel free to share.
In the videos it looks tasty.
>>8459524
india and bangladesh you very easily get sick, thailand and vietnam is prolly as safe as eating in most restaurants, also generally id avoid dishes including uncooked water. But desu just use common sense, just know that eating very spicy/sketchy can fuck up your stomach for a long time, thus severely sucking away your holidaytime
I was a month in china, we nearly ate the street food there every day. Was cheaper than in the restaurants, tasted good and no one got sick
>>8459536
If you avoid spicy food in India all together you'll probably get sick. It's how they survive.
I have 1kg of semolina and I have never work with it. What can I do with it? I was thinking about making Harcha (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-SSahds0Fk ), but that's still too much.
Semolina dumplings? They're pretty good although admittedly kind of poverty tier.

Where did you get powdered salmonella?
Is it hard to get?
>Taco Bell has confirmed it is bringing its "Naked Chicken Chalupa" nationwide on the 26th after 2 years of market testing.

Could be good, we'll see
So it's basically chicken kiev, except instead of kiev, it's kentucky.
>>8457443
It's basically fried chicken with a salad. Doesn't really sound that appealing. Why can't they just keep the double stacked tacos?
Why do people freak out over eating cats and dogs but are okay with eating other animals? Cats and dogs certainly aren't smarter than some of the things we slaughter, so why do they get special treatment?
>>8455890
It's a cultural thing. For instance, in some parts of Asia, eating rabbit is viewed in a similar way to how we view eating dog meat.
Also, it's not a "fixed" view. After WW2 in many European countries eating cats was relatively common; many developed also specific techniques to cook it in various different ways.
It also has something to do with the ability to mass produce meat, and the amount of meat per animal that you get. Pigs are optimal for it, cats and dogs not so much.
