So I was going to fry some chicken breasts for sandwiches since they are kind of boring, but now I realize I have no oil. What should I do with these breasts to make them not so shitty? I have very little to work with in terms of sides but anything helps. Can I still bake them and make good sandwiches? Should I still brine them? Im having a catastrophe!
>>8460072
You can bake chicken into something pretty good.
dont post my wife on /ck/
>buy case of pop
>open them all up and sit them unrefrigerated on the counter
>drink them flat over the course of a week
>>8460038
They don't go flat like that, just warm.
Stop frogposting.
I knew two guys who did stuff like that. Both were incredibly autistic. The real kind not the meme one.
>>8460045
Autists drink cold beverages.
I am an autist and bring you this message from the bottom of my WHO THE FUCK DRINKS WARM BEER? FUCK YOU FAGGOT.
Going to subway soon, what should I get?
>inb4 somewhere else
>>8459992
A restaurant that doesn't smell so bad you want to puke. (Any of them)
>SUBWAYS has 7 kinds of bread
> they all taste exactly the same. WTF ???
>>8459992
go to mr sub, their bread is superior. White flour!
Do any of you strictly only eat at home? if so
a. what's your reason to?
b. do you get used to it?
c. what's your favorite quick dish to make?
[INSERT LINK HERE]
>>8459868
>a. what's your reason to?
It's cheaper than eating out. And unless we're talking a really high-end restaurant it's tastier than eating out.
>b. do you get used to it?
I was always used to it. That was the norm when I grew up. Every meal eaten together as a family at the kitchen table.
>c. what's your favorite quick dish to make?
-Noodle soup (OK, the stock takes a long time to make, but I make it in big batches then freeze it in portions so most of the time it's just a matter of thawing a block)
-Stir fries
-Pan-seared steaks/chops/chicken/fish
-Charcuterie & cheeses with some crusty bread heated up in the toaster oven

>live in rural 'Murica, can cook better than 98% of the cooks at bars & """""restaurants""""" within a 30 min. radius
>Yes. I've always cooked mostly at home, even when I lived in an urban area; I like to eat well and I enjoy it.

Who here perfect cheeseburgers?
Martin's sesame buns
Dipped and toasted in the beef renderings
80/20 Chuck
1/4lb patties
2 slices of American Yellow Cheese
Literal Perfection needs nothing else
>>8459866
the amount of grease and sesame seeds on that bun (and how fucking deflated that bun is) triggered me
>>8459875
Of course there is gonna be grease
It's a fucking
cheeseburger not a salad man
Who complains about too much sesame seeds???
>>8459866
that thing is triggering my trypophobia
ITT: cooking education
>tfw depressed and drop out of engineering school
>spend year on welfare money
>can't think of anything to do
>think of getting chef's degree
Is it comfyish? I don't mind running around panicked, I do mind bending my mind over some physics problem and feeling stupid.
ps. schools are free in my country and my engineering dreams are shattered so I thought I should do something with my hands and I like cooking to myself, also making pot roast atm.
I bet I will never be main chef or anything but work would be better than hikky life. I'm also 25 so I should already do something with my life.
If schools are free then fuck go and be everything. Get paper.
>>8459825
What? So go? Btw why I need the cook papers in the first place is to get some kind of job. I guess it could even land some other field jobs but just having some kind of degree is important.
What do you think of this vegan version of turducken? I think it would be okay.

I think you need to delete your Facebook
If you dont want to eat meat, for whatever reason that might be - fine.
but why the fuck must people always invent fake, vegan "meat"?
there are so many things that are tasty, healthy, REAL and vegan, why not just eat those?
Being vegan and eating fake meat is like being a catholic priest and fucking little boys instead of manning up and either sticking with celibacy or realizing that being a priest is not for you.
>>8459178
seeing how most vegans are raised in a meat culture it's probably a way to keep their traditional favorite foods without killing animals. Or at least, they think it's related to the original foods because their tastebuds are so divorced from reality all protein foods reminds them of 'meat'.
Also what's the deal with vegans not being able to differenciate between meats. I tried to discuss the difference between duck and chicken with a vegan here and he went full retard thinking it was the same ("just use duck spice hurr durr")
Cherry Ripe or Turkish Delight?
Execute all muslims.
anyone who likes turkish delight is literally subhuman

KEK
>he fell for the MSG and aspartame are bad for you meme
MSG and aspartame are both metabolized into neurotransmitters that stimulate your NMDA receptors (such receptors require the presence of both to fire), which are responsible for neuroplasticity, learning and memory. The only reason why MSG is bad for you is because it carries sodium and the only reason why aspartame and MSG are both bad for you is because they can be over-excitatory if you dwell on the same topic too often and devote your excess neurotransmitters to burning out your neural networks.
Asians are historically good at math because their diet is high in MSG and promotes positive, tangential cognitive processes whereas in the west we are taught to think linearly so we burn ourselves out instead of progressing to the next level without the instruction of a tutor.
Prove me wrong you can't. That's why they taste so fucking good: your brain wants them.
Aspartame is certainly carcinogenic but we all must make sacrifices to be the best we can be.
>/ck/ can't handle even a little bit of original thought

>muh regional recipes
>muh heritage

>>8458105
> muh, msg=flavor. I'm too lazy to use proper cooking techniques and ingredients so I'll dump a bunch of artificial crap in that makes some people sick in a pathetic attempt to mask the fact that I can't cook.
Great. Now you're a -4 star michelin non-chef.
>>8458186
Sometimes you have to sacrifice flavor for power. I mean, whatever, it's okay. You can accuse me of defying tradition, strawman me or accuse me of lacking skill as much as you want in order to reinforce your biases, but you're only delaying your own liberation from your chemically restrained mind.
Okay, I'm sick of this cooking mystique bullshit.
>garlic

Your vanilla cake recipe is shit

Thoughts on electric kettles? Or should I just stick to traditional ones?
>>8457326
uuh they work? Why do we have to make a big deal out of everything? I use one everyday. It boils water and that's all I need it to do.
>>8457326
don't get ones with a guage on the side, they ALWAYS break
they're more efficient if you happen to have a electric stove
>>8457330
Guess I should have said how easy are they to maintain, do they last, etc.
We had a chili cook-off at work today!
The winner was one that used beef brisket. Personally, I think that was cheating. What do you think?
Was it against the stipulated rules? Then no it wasn't cheating.
I won a chili cookoff with a white chicken chili once, the NO BEANS JUST MEAT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE guys could not deal.
>>8457133
I think you're a sore loser
How is using brisket to make chili cheating?
>>8457152
Go home you fucking freak
What's for dinner lads?

is it really good to hang on to those bits for such a long time?

Froze it all straight after peeling, not game enough to try and ferment seafood.

lol haha
When's the last time you had a good old-fashioned greaseburger?
I mean like the stuff they served in the '50s, before cardiac health was a concern.
>>8449734
1957
Are you implying burgers are now somehow more healthy than they used to be?
>>8449741
Our forefathers ate burgers that would send the typical "meme"lennial into a spastic shock
